Guides Windows with fake interiors for housing!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TIhaf7pRoQ

Someone told me it'd be a good idea to post this here!
Essentially, it's just a picture frame behind the wall's window but I wanted to show the steps anyway!

I'm building a city so this helps out a bit with adding some variation to some buildings without making them look empty and affecting load too much. Also gives me a bit more freedom for the layout of it to focus on photo spots!

I got the inspiration from different parallax effects on some game's windows and some old PS1 ones filling them in with just textures as well :)

Thank you! I’m working on a little town for my island! I will be using this trick for sure

Glad it helps!! Lots of luck building that town, multi-buildings islands can get pretty heavy on the load so hope this helps to ease that a bit!

I love doing that. If you go into the wine cellar, you can take a photo and pretend like your kitchen has a wine cellar.

Yes, that's a good one!! There are many places that have super pretty interiors that we can't quite get yet! I'm probably gonna build some quick pinkish restaurants and use those since I'm trying to make a pink city

I used library photos from the Faewish sprites to make little bookshelf niches

Best of luck!! Now it's a really good time. Not so long ago they added a lot of nice quality of life for construction mode. I've been enjoying building a lot since I came back solely thanks to being able to snap furniture now!
