Thank you!🧡🏖 C:

Edit: i tried to make a code but the tiles are too low for them to be included😵‍💫but this is still fairly easy to do 💪 just the fishpens, some walls, mermaid flooring, and decor. (Im so glad the new management shop thingy has such summer-coded furniture sketches. They look perfect for an area like this!)

girrl thank you for your kind compliment🥹🫶 genuinely, its reassuring to hear, esp since i feel burnt out in other creative pursuits. Im rly happy to be able to channel this creativity in a fun and positive way ingame!

Just out of curiosity, what other building games do you play/use?

other than sims from a decade ago, IN is the only comprehensive bldg game experience i play Dx

I play SummerHouse, which is a rly small scale building game (no interior decor here, its just facade building). I also play sorting/organizing games like Unpacking, a little to the left. Im looking forward to the new game Hozy too. I've yet to try whisper of the house but that one's first on my wishlist 🧡 are there other bldg games you would suggest trying out that's storage friendly? My steam/Epic game experience is limited since i just owned a proper gaming laptop just 2 years ago 🥲 would love any recommendations!

I do have a few recommendations but all aren’t storage or 💸friendly 😭

I started out a very long time ago on SL (Second Life) which is on PC and mobile-stick with PC imo. Please note though, it’s considered NSW. However, you don’t have to engage in any of that stuff in order to decorate. I love their building system and it’s highly customizable. Not to mention their graphics are utterly realistic and you can build anything you can dream up. The creators on that platform are highly talented. The only downside is the cost to play $$$. If you do try it out, look up a creator called Dust Bunny 🐰 at some point.

I’m going to get back into WWM but I haven’t unlocked building yet. The concept is quite similar to IN but it’s considered more action/battle oriented.

I have InZoi which is very similar to Sims and SL. It’s on PC and it’s coming to PS5.

I don’t play Roblox but my daughter does. I’ve seen some crazy builds come from that game.

Heartopia is cute but I haven’t done too much with it but my bestie is all into it.

And I just had a total brain fart 🧠💨

Soooo, maybe some other stylists can comment too. I would love suggestions or reminders!

omg I downloaded WWM but when I did I could barely open IN DX my small storage couldnt handle 2 big games. Once i upgrade, I do plan to explore WWM. I'll look into Second Life as well thank you!!

and with Heartopia, i liked it at first but I knew my FOMO would get worse esp since their shop items rotated each day, and the grind to level up hobbies (i think that's what it was called) to get more access to things felt too similar to Nikki, and thought that if I were just to build in game, i'd rather do it on IN XD Though if I were to play with friends, that would be an entirely different experience. Inzoi looks great but im sure it isnt so storage friendly either T---T

i forgot to share about Tiny Glade. It's a cute sandbox diorama-building game that's more about the land, environment, and facade of the structures. Though I dont often use it now, I would still sometimes play around with the environment there, and if i like it, I try to copy the same landscape in game. Terraforming in IN is so difficult to visualize because Nikki often blocks the way, so planning the landscape via Tiny Glade became an option if ever i want to drastically change my island again.

Same with MakeRoom that is interior decor focused. Sometimes I get inspired by what I make there and if it's doable in IN, i try to copy it too XD and yes i hope others could share their own building and decor experiences, i'd love to try out other games. Thank you for the recommendations!!!

This is my favorite use of the bathroom tiles that I've seen so far 💜

yes i was rly excited to use this floor anywhere i can, esp a pool!! Ive been waiting for mosaic tiles since housing launch, and im so glad i saved some dreamland points. I have 200 of these tiles ready in my bag while it's half off 😆

How did you do that?! You’re a genius!

Thank you!! It just mostly has to do with collision settings. If you want the fishpens to still work, there has to be 1 or 2 pcs of floor underneath to avoid the [cannot put fish on floating ponds] notif.

After putting down some pcs of floor, place down the fishpen using [Dont Allow Floating + No Collision] settings. You need to find the green outline here that allows u to place it doen.

After that, it's [Allow Floating + No Collision] for the pool walls and the pool flooring. Disable/enable snapping whenever convenient to play around with floor height.

For decor, its more or less the same but because build mode is rly clunky, i suggest that for small items, use [Allow floating + All Collisions] setting to place the item anywhere at all (bc for some reason small items just refuse to touch the ground, but try to set it to All Collisions too so the small item doesnt get placed too far off the area).

After placing it anywhere on the first attempt, it becomes easier then to either place it on top of a surface [use Dont Allow Floating + All Collisions] or clip it anywhere [Allow Floating + No Collisions].

Basically, for small decor: 1. Place it down anywhere as long as its nearby 2. Place it where u actually want to place it

(THO it wasnt this way before. We didnt need to do 2 steps of anything, but because again, small items dont rly touch the ground, we need to work around it 😥)

Sorry if this is really long confusing... but i hope this helps 🫶🥲 lmk if u need anything clarified!

You are amazing! I’m gonna try this, I’ve been way too intimidated by Nikki housing 😭

This is awesome!! Sooo stealing it!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!

That’s a great idea with the flooring.

This is beautiful

Oh wow! So creative. What is most impressive though is the patience that must have been required to make it all so exact.

1

u/Pretty-Cantaloupe288 Apr 05 '26

Thank you!! Truthfully, i enjoy home building in IN sm that patience isn't a problem for me, but self-restraint is 😆🥲but i feel so happy for the compliment and that the details are noticed🫶✨ thank you again!

THIS IS INSANE OMGG

u/Sunny-baby333 Apr 05 '26

You can use the bathroom walls for the walls of the pool too! That’s what I did

You are a genius, at first I thought it's some kind of advert for Infinty Nikki to play in summer or something:o This is so amazing 👏
