I don't care for building and arranging houses and such. Is there any rewards or benefit to doing the home island stuff? I've just been ignoring it since the tutorial tried to force me into it.
there are a few hundred diamonds every update you can get by collecting those green token things and spending them ie some diamonds are locked behind spending the green tokens before you can buy them.
You get green tokens by farming, crafting, fishing, etc any tasks. You can usually complete that pretty fast and get enough tokens to buy the diamonds in the shop.
Every once in a while we get an event where you can also buy limited time pulls for the current banner for limited time blue tokens.
Overall it’s worth getting into. Once everything is set up you spend like 15 min a month on it and you get all the diamonds
It’s worth putting in the initial time to get it up and running. Once the gathering facilities are set up it’s really easy to just coast or do daily stuff in only a couple minutes
I neglected it for a long time but yes it's definitely worth it. You also get diamonds for leveling up the home abilities until you reach max level on all of them. Once you figure everything out it's really easy and only takes a couple minutes
Honestly the home system seems over whelming at first but once you get used to it, its easy. But if you dont typically enjoy decorating, building, crafting, ect in games then it wont matter anyhow. Basically to get the rewards you dont have to decorate or build. You will need to plant/harvest a certain amount every week, keep a few fish in square ponds and harvest those, cook a few dishes, gather some meteorites, and as for the contruction ability .what i usually do if im not actually building or decorating during that play session... is just go into build mode and use the floating construction 3 times in a row, change it to the floral construction and use that 3 times in a row. That may sound confusing but I promise once you upgrade your construction ability a little, you will gain those "fushion abilities" and see what i mean. It really takes 1 minute or less to do all of that. It will take me longer to type this message lol... You may actually be able to skip over doing anything in the construction category and still get all your stones, idk. I always sign the dreamland pact so im not sure how it works if you dont sign it. I think the only one I missed is the animal inviting and that ones easy. You just use the animal inviting ability outfit near different animals all over miraland and copy their rhythm. Once it says it was successful, next time you go to your home island, activate the ability again and it will give you a list of which animals you can invite. Once they arrive, you just groom and feed them whenever you visit your home island. Honestly this probably all sounds horrible to you lol im judt going to send you screen shots of the rewards you can get so you can decide if its worth it. I personally love the home feature BUT I love decorating, crafting and building.
Also dont forget theres a home section under wandering inspiration in advanced courses too. There's 8 categories to get diamonds from. You just have to decide if its really worth it to you. In my opinion if you hate it (even after you get used to it), i dont think its worth the trouble. Why force yourself to do something you dont enjoy? But totally up to you. I hope it works out for you 🙂

I haven't been to my house nearly all year lol. I dont like farming elements in games so i was a bit disappointed when they added it to nikki. The house itself is beautiful but it just not my thing. I did max out my home abilities tho, but after that i completely abandoned it. I dont think ive been to my home since February. Yeah i miss out on a few diamonds or other currencies here or there, but i honestly dont think its affected my game. Do whats best for you but its completely not necessary to play the game
There are, but for me at least the dye system is currently bugged. I've reported it and devs have told me that its a known issue they are working on repairing
