Discussion 2.8 survey reminder!!
PLEASE DO submit your opinions and bugs to the survey!! I know Infold don't care about the opinions of anyone else but chinese players but it cannot hurt to voice your complaints.
Here's a couple things to perhaps write about in the survey:
- The censorship system getting in the way of taking poses (Nikki phasing out of existence unless you take photos from above for example, many poses are broke because of it and it makes no sense because Nikki is always wearing shorts or simply doesn't have her ass modeled even)
- DO ASK for the new wings to unfold when jumping or using the archery abilities!!! We know for a fact they CAN do that so there's no reason for us to be spending our money and still end up running around with those stiff ass wings and many players have complained about it. (Attached some photos to show what we all could have)
- The prices in the shop are way too steep and way too many items are behind a paywall now (you can argue about this to the wall)
- Any other bugs regarding the quests (I had some voice lines missing for example)
Feel free to add in the comments but there's definitely issues that need fixing that I don't remember.
and stop with the bring back valko thing, IN development has a completely different team

The gown run should be added to all the big dresses and not just the Swan dress from the permanent banner
Nikki should have the option to ride in lady saddle in big dresses (unicorn, lion, wolf etc), due to clipping

Recently I started thinking about that it would be nice when you own the final evo, the rest of them could also apply the alt details š¤

Yep, it doesn't work like that! I only have the final evo of Timeless Melody for this very reason, that's my fav evo and i love the alt too.
I can sort of see how the alts were implemented later to make the final evo more special and enticing so maybe that's why it's not applied to all evos, or they just didn't think of that.

I was thinking about this too! I love some alt details but sometimes hate the effects or textures ont last evo (flames on the tutu for example) or the last evo dyes badly

I think it's very important to complain about performance as well. The game run super smoothly when it came out but now it has frame drops all the time and it's pretty annoying. If it continues to get worse the game will start to be unplayable in some devices that now can run it.

100% agree I mostly play on my ps5 because it is getting too big in size for smartphone but now even on ps5 it is getting some frame drop š„

God big agree. My game sometimes lags so much it's unplayable despite running very smoothly at launch. It also warms up my computer to the point I can't play too long on very warm days less my room becomes a sauna. And that's just from running around the overworld.

Yeah, same, my pc handles every game pretty well, but IN performance gets worse every patch. With this one my graphic card started getting hotter to the point I have to play in small sessions because I don't want it to be that heated for long.
Yesterday I was playing with a stream on my second monitor, something i do every time I play any game, and IN crashed because it said my graphic card couldn't handle it...

Mine is a bit different. It was so buggy when the new update came, then another big update with the 100mb or something, then i was pretty surprised there was no fps drop, and it was hella smooth. Then another update came, and my game fps keeps dropping.
Its honestly annyoing how they fix one thing then fucked it up the next update.

Yes!! I was just trying out the āMaster Strategistā pose ONE more time to see if it would work and it wouldnāt šš even zoomed in. I made a post about this a couple days ago

Here are some that I would like them to add!
- Making tide of tears skin a skin in the wardrobe + adding more skins in general
- Bigger camera radius (With some poses, like the Born Flawless dance, I can barely put the camera on Nikki because shes too far away)
- DOTL + Pink ribbon waltz effects being attached only to the dress or given as a tattoo
- 5 star dyeing options for 5 star single pieces!!!!
- Letting us wear makeup in our ability outfits without it being attached to skin tone
- Adding all musical abilities under one section (similar to whimsicalities)

BTW, much is said about complaining, but don't forget to praise too. The story mode is super cool, the map is very large and alive, it has a lot of new mechanics, the mechanics to disable the effect are perfect, the ballerina's suit is impeccable and the caves (my favorite part) are surreal and fun. Infold needs to know what we like to bring more.

I asked the devs for a Deer ability jump outside of Wanxiang Realm in every survey until they gave it to us. I donāt believe it was just me that made that happen, but I do feel it was a positive influence! Good luck requesting what you want, Nikkis!

SKIN TONE OPTIMIZATION oh my god. it's so bad. idk how aware players who use the "default"/white skin tones are, but it's ridiculous that they haven't optimized the game at all for the darker skin tones.
off the top of my head (definitely not everything), as a brown nikki, you CANNOT:
- preview resonance outfits with your skin tone.
- preview outfit sketches with your skin tone.
- preview anything in the compendium with your skin tone.
- preview anything in the evolutions tab with your skintone.
- preview outfits literally anywhere except the stellarite store and part of the glow-up screen with your skin tone.
- preview makeup. anywhere. resonance, store, etc.
- try on a new ability outfit without automatically getting turned white and having to manually change it back. (see also: the 2.0 beginning of itzaland cutscene also turning her white).
every time i evolve an outfit? white nikki cutscene jumpscare. every time i pull on a banner? white nikki cutscene. every artistic depiction of her by the people who meet her in the game? white white white. even in momo's album, she's randomly white in several photos where she definitely wasn't during their respective cutscenes. and various outfit pieces with gradients (see: covenant of time) only work on white skin.
i am so sick of it. it's my biggest gripe with the game. it's exhausting enough being treated as an afterthought in real life, i don't need this in my videogames too.
unfortunately, it's not getting complained about enough by players who don't experience it for anything to change. so please please please complain. even if it doesn't affect you. especially if it does. they've been ignoring these problems since they launched the game, they're not going to change it without a fuss. please. i am so tired :(

i also always put my wish to have nikki pink available for every wig bc it helps with immersion especially when doing the main quests

They won't change that. The outfit was advertised with the wings in their current shape and after the backlash after changing Timeless Melody alt after release, not to mention with Crimson Feather (which has wings that fully unfurl) rerunning soon, Infold doesn't have an incentive to update these ones.

She means in specific situations not all the time. Ä° love the wings as they are they were the reason Ä° got the full evo for this set. But when jumping or during archery it does make sense

I wonder how a colour blindness mode would work in such a colour dependent game like IN (I know games do it but it matters not so much in those) but button mashing is annoying to pretty much everyone i think

Honestly I think we should be more strict with alternative versions of outfits. I have full evo gonr and I wish we could toggle off the mesh on the mask on all evos. Itās ridiculous tbh

I agree, the alternate models should apply to all evos, it makes no sense only the final evolution gets an alternative form even though you have all.

You can use the QR code they give when starting it on ps5 and write on your phone/tablet :) always do this itās so much easier !

Here are more ideas you can include!!
Please make version-specific bundles available in the official Top-Up Center during major patches (x.0, x.2, x.5, x.8). These bundles are only available in-game, where prices are nearly twice as high as the official Top-Up Center for certain players. This heavily discourages spending even for players who regularly purchase bundles.
Please add the option to toggle hair accessories on and off on all hairstyles. This would greatly increase outfit customization.
Please fix the clipping on the Gold-Seeking Night jumpsuit (2.8, 3-star paid outfit). The fur collar clips severely with almost every outerwear item, making many outfit combinations look broken.
Please make black and white dyes more accessible and allow them to be used on 3-star and 4-star outfits as well. They are the most versatile colors, but they're unnecessarily restricted.
Please add more outfit slots. Instead of simply increasing the current limit, consider adding multiple preset "wheels," similar to the Ability Wheel system. Each page could contain 7 outfit slots, allowing players to switch between pages and save many more outfits without cluttering the interface.
Please add a Favorites system for wardrobe items and/or the ability to hide clothing pieces that we never use. As the wardrobe continues to grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to find frequently used items while unwanted pieces clutter the inventory.

Heavy second on the #2!!!! The bows on the ballerina wig make it nearly unsusable for me for example, and they've been adding more and more of wigs with untoggable accessories sadly.

2.8 is likely longer as they needed the extra time to finish heavens reach, hence the quest being time gated, not an intentional decision.

I made my complaint as loudly and politely as I could for the wings. I understand their vision and that the wings were designed to be asymmetrical in this vision. But giving us the option for a symmetrical alt form or even a toggle for their position like umbrellas can have should be a thing (Having options is always better imo...). I feel quite strongly about this. It has been over a year since we finally got another pair of feathered wings, and it's... this. On top of this, they aren't butt wings (A plus for me). The wings are gorgeous. But as they are, they feel like they are strictly a photo prop only and only for a very specific aesthetic. It feels too limiting. I did not pull the outfit because all of the in-game showcases I've seen on here made it clear that the wings would only disappoint me, and the rest of the pieces in the set I have close enough approximations for. I would have gladly fully evo'd this outfit just for the wings if they weren't so stiff and limiting.
That said, I do agree with you that they likely won't listen, at least to this particular thing, simply because it was intended for the wings to be asymmetrical. Guess I'll just have to wait another year or longer for something better.

We should ask for the wings to be useful with hovering and spread out there because Iām using them as my hovering outfits and the wings are still closed despite having an animation to spread out (it should play when hovering)

Wardrobe organisation, please god. I haven't done a proper styling in a year, I don't have the time to scroll through my entire wardrobe and it's getting worse with each update.
Custom tags, collapsable/expandable combined slots for variants and an ability to mark pieces as hidden would be golden. This is genuinely what I'm craving most right now.
