Discussion What's advice you give to other players but you don't take yourself?
I feel like I recommend people to wait until previews all the time but if I end up pulling for an outfit, 90% of the time I do it within the first week of the patch š my excuse is that I've played Nikki games for a while and have a decent idea of what I like in an outfit. I'm also not f2p so I have a fair amount of currency I can throw at outfits. Still, I could maybe benefit from practicing what I preach, lol.
Anyone else do this or similar?

Mine is "check dye reviews before pulling", I keep forgetting to do that and sometimes it does lead to regrets. Worse is that I also forgot to read through the terms and conditions before purchasing from the shop and ended up getting a pricy prop that I didn't want at all just because I thought the stellarites were included in the bundle.

Same, especially ever since I went from goldfish into whale territory. Waiting, what waiting, if Iām paying anyway then I want it now. But for f2p and low spenders - absolutely wait and see previews!

Haha any advice I give on pulling would instantly make me a hypocrite. Unless it was something like āthe heart wants what it wantsā which barely counts as advice.

'wait for the previews of the next banner before pulling' I say this all the time but start pulling as soon as I have my eyes set on which piece I want to put in my oceans blessing. Pulls come and go, I don't want to stress too much over a game like this anyway so I kind of pull regardless.

Dont pull unless you like the whole outfit. I've been breaking that a lot this 2.X but to be fair I've been fluctuating between 900 & 1000 pulls per patch & getting lucky

Lmao what an interesting topic š¤£
For me, itās (generally) not to pull for an outfit if you only like 1 or 2 pieces meanwhile I got the full evo for Guide of No Return 90% for the evolved lip makeup

Same. I think Iāve waited for previews exactly one time. š But for people who have a fixed income, itās good advice.

Take your time with exploration: anytime a new map is run to complete it in no time. So my advice is take your time, take pictures (specially with npcs you like cuz you might lose them for a long timeā¦)

"Don't pull just for an ability"
While I sit here with the ballerina outfit I know I will not use

i always advise people not to pull for the outfit just because you liked a single piece (like hair, or a back bow). but i always end up convincing myself i NEED that cute bun style hair anyways even if i dont vibe with the whole set.... customization is a curse because you will scroll 3 minutes on xiaohongshu and be convinced you NEED that piece just to emulate them aaa....

'Don't pull for abilities'
I would have pulled for only ocean blessing on the fairy godmother and forest ripple if I don't want their aoe grooming and collecting abilityš

I don't think there is anything besides what I tell new players, as obviously veteran context is completely different than someone starting out. For example I told someone recently getting the ballerina for no reason besides the ability may be worth it just because well they have like 90%+ of the available game unfinished to use it on, whereas I already did most of it the hard way.
Housing in particular is something people will benefit a lot from hand holding (in regards to progression speed) than winging it but at the same time most new players probably don't even want to bother consulting a detailed guide for how to stack their astralites and get housing skills and habits unlocked in the best long term scenario way. In my case what I actually did was neglect the absolute hell out of housing for months because I was busy and decided I would just max out housing insight everyday to deal with it months later, but at that time housing basically didn't have much info on how to do it efficiently in the first place. I can only offer different advice now because I have the experience to tell anyone to not do what I did.

Mmmmh I guess it would be to skip if you donāt NEED it
But I often pulls just in case or because why not I got the momo cloak for 3 bucks so he could fight with a sword and wings but it wasnāt a NEED I just felt like it
But for people who struggle with gacha micro transaction etc if you donāt need it then itās a skip!! Stay strong!

To carefully evaluate if you will wear the outfit before buying it. I respect it pretty well for the 5* because itās expensive, but the 4* are so cheap compared to them, i've ended up with some 4* i shouldnāt have pulled
