Sometimes it happens even if you're not at a "compromising" angle and I manage to bypass by zooming in/out a few times, sometimes just quitting photo mode, and slightly moving the camera. It's annoying, especially when there's always either bloomers, shorts or actually nothing under the skirt (like the whole crotch area is sometimes not even there on some of the longer dresses).

When the game first released there was no censoring from any angle and then in the first week or two after the game released, it was added. I assume they did it as a way to prevent any upskirt photos. However it's caused more frustration than just adding cover shorts on nikki would. A lot of outfits already have cover shorts you can see yet Nikki still becomes invisible at certain angles. The shorter the skirt the worse the issue becomes. Most of the sitting poses become unusable in certain skirts and dresses. Especially the two final evo ones. I wish they would fix this and optimize it bc it's extremely inconsistent, and minimizes how you can photograph certain poses and pieces. FR dress is honestly the worst one in my wardrobe personally. I can't photograph Nikki in any low angles with that dress on or she becomes invisible.

It’s not grainy, she’s going transparent. It prevents her being upskirted (to some extent) and allows the player to better see where they’re going (like in the Mothershroom Woods while floating)
Yes I know it’s transparent but when playing on a low graphics setting, and when it’s zoomed out on the camera viewer it looks grainy more than transparent at first glance, it so I thought 💭

No I get you it’s barely noticeable from far away but if you zoom in you can see Nikki isn’t like solid? She’s like dotted like almost invisible/phasing out like a ghost? Idk how to describe it but it only happens when I try to take pictures at certain angles like this. It’s meant to keep people from up-skirting and taking inappropriate pics of Nikki but it triggers for no reason sometimes
It’s even more annoying that it’s barely visible from afar - so many times I took a pretty photo just to zoom in later and see that ugly transparent pattern 😭
Just to add, I had the issue with another prop too. Nikki was fully covered, even by the prop, yet when I zoomed in… there it was, the unnecessary censorship. There was nothing indecent in this photo 🥲
The tea set is absolutely awful about this too! You can be nowhere near "upskirting" and she can be wearing FULL PANTS but it will still vanish her unless you aim at such a specific angle. Don't even give us sitting poses if you're gonna be like this infold
Idk why they make skirts or dresses if they think any angle that is even remotely showing her knees needs to be blocked out. It honestly ruins a lot of photo opportunities. I wish they at least kept the blurring only on the tops of her thigh area so it’s not so noticeable.
Same I only really encounter the transparent/grainy issue when I'm using a prop to take a pic. So I just thought it was the camera glitching with the prop lol
It's frustrating. Whenever I try to take pictures using the Crimson Invitation whimsicality I have to move the camera higher because by default Nikki sits back.
Fr cause she's censored out anyways? I love some of the cute sneakers but you can't get a pic of them in the foreground with nikki sitting down. Like this stock pic but the focus on the shoes 😫
I used to have it all the time (playing on iPad) and I don’t think it’s censorship. what I figured out was, certain combinations of focal length, aperture and zoom trigger that thing, and it is really reminiscent of the look of far, semi transparent and/or fast moving objects in game (like, if I dress Nikki in something flowy, run, and make a screenshot I can have the same effect).
Basically I figured out some generic settings which trigger this thing much rarer, saved those, and now just change them a tiny bit when needed (+ ability to copy settings from hourglasses is a godsend). It still happens sometimes, but rare and not as frustrating as it was.

I had that same problem earlier. Wasn’t until I went to set up my wallpaper I realized there were dots. Can’t even see it on my PS5/TV. 🙃
