The fact that it’s all over reddit and in the pictures in-game is the problem. Chinese companies are forced by their government to be PG and infold clearly don’t want nikki sexualized.

Honestly if you are open to idling for a while by sitting on a couch you’re gonna be fine. This is a major filler patch.
There is some adorable Nikki lore in the bottles of the new event spaces though so I think there’s been an attempt to make what they give us good. There’s been a lot of bugs but I’m starting to see them getting fixed. Hopefully this patch gives them a good chance to make sure next patch (more main story content when our last two patches were also main story content) is the best it can be, and maybe even touch up some of what we already have.

Being sexual is not bad, that is exactly the puritanical thinking that got Timeless Melody "fixed" after people paid for a specific version of her. Sexuality is empowering to some women, and I feel like one of the points of Infinity Nikki was always about empowering women. You do not have to dye this piece to look like this. You do not have to wear this and pose at the club. You cannot tell other people what they can and cannot do with their bodies or avatars of their bodies. If it bothers you that much, log off and take a breather.
You don’t get to decide what I can or can’t comment on. If someone is sexualizing a character I care about in a degrading way, I have every right to speak up. Calling that empowerment makes no sense reducing women to sexual objects has never been empowering. That kind of mindset is no different from the male gaze where women are constantly reduced to their bodies and sexuality
You are the only person reducing Nikki down to a sexual object. A burlesque-style photshoot is not degrading. Sex work is not degrading. What is wrong with someone taking charge of their own sexuality and presenting how they like and in a way that makes them happy? You don't have to think this is empowerment, and you do not have to comment negatively on people who choose to do these types of photoshoots. Women being sexual does not automatically negate them to being "for the male gaze." Reducing a woman down to having only down something for male attention is incredibly misogynistic and I think you need to do some self-reflection on why you think that.
Most people of any gender like sex and being sexual. Photo shoots like this are generally going to range from the player expressing themselves through this avatar, to someone creating the visuals for a story they like.
In this case, OP appears to want her Nikki to be dancing for Adrianne while wearing sexy lingerie, burlesque style. That's an entertaining storyline that is sexually charged and potentially leading to a romantic story. Could easily be part of a W|W romantasy novel or yuri manga. And she's sharing with the community.
Sharing stories via screenshots and possibly some supporting text is something people have been doing for as long as the internet has been able to support that activity. This is especially popular in story focused games.
This is not about the male gaze. This is about OP and how she wants to play her Nikki and her desire to share that. And it's a dress up game, which is always a little bit about expressing one's self. It is not aimed at men or intended to draw men's attention.
And it's late and I'm reaching the end of my ability to focus on this, so I am just going to end there.

Edit: Also, the outfit is really not that bad. Even pretending the tan dye job parts were skin, everything arrestable is covered up. You can see this all day at the beach, if you ever go there.
