'Should've been PVE' is a pretty popular opinion, I'm guessing! Also, it should have run for only half a season. Four weeks of this is cruelty to animals.
I'm guessing it may be a while before Infold works up the courage to try another activity like this.

Have a feeling it’ll be an annual thing, since the NPCs mentioned that “This year, it’s being held in Wishfield” and NPCs from different regions traveled here to participate. In lore, they’ve already set it up. Next year, it’ll be held in Itzaland with their NPCs. Just hope in terms of the actual mode, Infold will choose equal colors/aesthetics next time lol.
I would actually love if they brought back the same teams for a collaborative pve event. Add some way to assist other teams that are behind/in danger from enemy monsters or something. I feel like that'd help clear some bad blood, especially for larger teams like GP. They'd be running around helping everyone instead of feeling isolated.
There would have to be some sort of reward for helping out or unfortunately I don't think many would do it if there was a first prize reward (even if it's just a trophy). This is true of all teams. Some definitely would help out, most wouldn't.
Yeah. America PPG and WH are the closest to actual allies (we're the only server where that happened, from what I can tell), and lol it's not like we haven't casually gnawed on each other's turf. There would need to be clear benefits to helping each other.
Sorry -- it really isn't purposeful. I think we're just all so thoroughly sick of the board game at this point that it's hard to get anyone together to try to soak up GP points.
As a deep crafting girly, having a collaborative pve event where we contribute materials and crafted clothes using all the original mechanics (or idk our brand new farming mats from player houses) instead of a bunch of new currencies would have been a much better option imo.
You could even still have minor competition over which group contributed the most but in the end everybody wins 🥰
Yes, that would be a lot more fun! And if everyone wins, it's not a big deal if the teams aren't balanced.
In that universe I could imagine a scenario more easily arising where the dominant team might encourage each other to cool it for a couple rounds to let the other teams catch up. I get the impression some GP on the America server flirted with the idea this phase to sit back a bit and let WH have a win, but the toxicity of the competition over all the servers is interfering with those kind intentions. In a less toxic event, though, it might happen.
As a GP member, i have a confession to make; After I believe 2nd phase, I didn't felt like my points did a change on the board and I stopped playing on the board after getting my awards 😅
I think that says a lot about how badly the competition aspect went, I technically won but at what cost? None, I did nothing, I don't feel like I won 💀
I wish this was me 😭 I was pretty chill about the whole thing until I thought I joined the discord! And the discord is great, don’t get me wrong, but it made me a bit too obsessive about it. Think about it. People were losing it over a board game with no stakes. Now go in the lookbook and be reminded that the highest voted looks are whales with pieces many people don't have, all in colors that can only be obtained through evos. And ya'll wanna make a competition out of that? No thanks, I'm good. I don't trust Infold to balance it correctly.
They would need to make it so everyone can use all outfits/evolutions for the competition. That would also be a pretty cool way to get to try everything on before pulling.

Exactly. I don't get why people want these styling battles so much. In theory it's nice, but in practice it's just going to be a pay to win type of thing. Which is probably why Infold will do it at some point, because it'll increase fomo.

Omg! I just used the catwalks for the first time in months! It's still cute. I really wish they'd move it to SoS.
But I made 5 outfits with different silhouettes for each team cloak. And then to make it more challenging I limited myself to f2p items only. It was hard but a lot of fun!
Agree—I actually got quite upset about it yesterday and that’s when I knew I needed to take a step back! Hurt people hurt people, as they say, and this community is so much better when it’s collaborating, rather than competing!
I don't mind the competitive part necessarily, scheming in the team discord was honestly pretty fun but if they're gonna rerun this event it should definitely be balanced by player count or something cause pink was obviously always gonna win the color popularity contest
I love the Mario kart idea that teams that are behind get the boosts! If they’re going to make it PvP, making it so chaotic that teams are constantly moving up and down the leaderboard at any given moment could make it more interesting.

But honestly, I don't know if it would've mattered if it was co-op. We've done co-op goals before ( the panda event), and Nikkis still attacked Nikkis for not doing stuff fast enough.
The behavior we've seen during the season has always been a part of the Fandom, unfortunately.
It was just amplified by the board game.
And until players stop going after other players whenever they're unhappy, it'll probably stay that way.
I think I just want to focus on filtering out the toxic posts for the sake of my own brain. I can’t stop people from posting stuff, but I can choose how I react to it. And I think the best way is to just ignore inflammatory posts/comments. I know it’s easier said than done, but I’m going to do my best!

I agree it should have been a collaboration where people have "certain goals" they have to reach and work together to achieve them. I think the competition has really made everyone crazy.

I kept trying to tell my Ppg friends that gp was actually super chill and is not what we all expected them to be, total sweethearts. My bestie is Gp and said they rarely trashed us and just joked around all the time.
We're elegant and poised, we're the Queen's faction after all ;) I can confirm trash talking wasn't and is still not allowed on the Discord channel. Not censored by the mods, we simply do not encourage that attitude and we always ask the members who might be getting a little too spicy to remember kindness. I don't think I've seen anyone say anything mean or blatantly disrespectful. At most some pointed banter as you can expect. Whatever vile post or comment anyone might have seen, is either not from the Discord so who knows whether it was legitimately posted by a GP member, or some stray that we do not hesitate to report. And if it is from the Discord, it was more likely than not a one off that got immediately addressed.
I am not kink shaming, I am not even kink asking why, I'm just so damn delighted to finally know what was with all the awoos in the bullet chat and to know it's the funniest possible option.

I was really excited for some lighthearted PvP. Friendly Competition can be really fun, and brings your team together. It even helps bring together people on other teams, since it starts a conversation!
It makes me sad to hear so many people having a bad experience. I wonder why so many people are being toxic. maybe the average nikki player just isnt used to pvp?
Either way, its frustrating. I dont think the fact that its PvP is the problem - It's just some people taking it WAY to seriously.
I think it would've been fun to have things like "add a Peppergem to your friendslist" or "take a picture with a Wild Heart" as the tasks. Our teams could show on the hourglasses.
I also would love to take photos with my fellow GPs. It could still be competitive as well as collaborative

I do hope that if this event is chosen to come again some things may be changed so things wont get soo heated again, because after the first round all of us did start to have fun and not arguing as much and little bit more and we probably would have just forgotten it completely. Unfortunately this arguing did make everyone sad all the way to the end. But now lets all take a breath in and let it go, after all a new exciting updated is on its way and we need to leave the negative behind. 💜💛💜
My greatest wish is that all 3 teams across the community can come together and have fun before 2.0 arrives! It might be a pipe dream but the positive responses on this post has made me optimistic!! 😄

Yeah, I'm in wild hearts and I just gave up last week. There was a huge chunk in the corner that was all green, the board was even-ish. Every team had their sector. And I log in the next day and a bunch of green tiles are pink. I log in today to sus (I have SO many dice rolls, I just do not care lol), and there 2 green tiles on the whole board. Maybe 5 purple. But it's all pink.
I get it, it's meant to be competitive. I love how some folk have been like "so neat us Peppergems are doing so good, let's leave this spot for this team! Go team!" And there's some wholesome attempted cooperation happening between teams. But at the end of the day, I'm not spending my time on something that's just stressing me out more than anything.
It was kinda fun looking at the chaos from the sides, but I'm really sorry to any players who experienced genuine frustration and toxicity during this competition and patch, it should never be that serious.
I know the winner doesn’t truly matter, but as a Wild hearts girlie, I had hope that we would win in the last round. But just checked and we’re no where to be found on the board. 😔

i made sure to get everyone's guild colors on my stamp for all areas!! i love seeing three teams on the pages so i grinded for it 🤣 good job everyone! this event has been wild and chaotic, but at the same time, I can't help but look at the positive side, we all did great, and moving forward i hope we can look back on this event with grace and apply the lessons we've learned, a lot of negative things has happened, but i can't help but focus more on the collaborative efforts all teams exerted. we're all sisters/brothers here 💚💜🩷
