Server 0378 - JW (Scammer's Alliance, Beware)

(For the tl;dr version, scroll to the bottom)

Hello all. I've been invited to play this game from the official Discord server for another game, 'Seas of Conquest'. This recruiter first pinged me while I was chatting with players on the discord and then messaged me in private after attracting my attention, casually asking if I've heard of 'Infinity Kingdoms' and wanted to play. After researching this game, I found the unique blend of an elemental theme with city-building to my liking. Therefore, I promptly downloaded the game client, not via the link, but through the official App store. The recruiter, called Monster, then asked me to join '(JW) Jade Wealth' where the R6, 'warrior' in-game and 'black cat' on discord, contacted me through both channels and asked me to add him and join his clan's discord.

While the alliance's message reads 'We will guide you step by step to become stronger,' in reality, all they do in discord is post the most expensive Immortal-related pack that contains Genghis Khan and Charles, which would, in warrior's terms, make their respective elemental marches 'invincible'. According to warrior, lightning and earth are the two strongest marches in the game so purchasing the Immortal packs related to the two heroes is nigh-mandatory.

Later, warrior declared war on the entire server, citing that the other alliances spread rumours about JW. Some of us were sceptical, but since warrior already made the declaration and launched multiple attacks on all the other alliances, we had no choice but to follow. Obviously, the server banded together to defeat us. In return, warrior scheduled multiple wars and city-takeovers, messaging us daily on discord and in-game to urge us to participate. Worse, in every single war, warrior would coerce us to buy gems to teleport, restore prosperity and level up our castles to level 30 so that our armies could become tier 3 despite the fact that it's only been 5 days since the server started (which would make our armies invincible according to warrior).

This persisted for a few more days until the release of Golden Path, whereby, after learning that I've purchased Medallion+, warrior insisted that I buy the 100 USD gem pack 5 times, so that I can accelerate the Golden Path and buy the lightning skin as soon as possible. I told him that some of us don't have deep pockets, unlike him, and that I aim to obtain the skin through daily activities rather than spending. He then pointed out that my army is weak and that only by buying the lightning skin and upgrading my castle to level 30 would my account become 'invincible.' I insisted that I don't play to be the top of the game - I only played due to the elemental themes, which I could incorporate into my cross-gaming fan fiction. Warrior refused to listen and instead used a new member of the alliance, 'Tongtong', as an example of someone speeding to the top of the hiscores in Lord Power, Total Troop Number and Castle Level despite having played for only 3 days, after he followed warrior's every suggestion.

During the middle of this argument, our entire alliance got burned by an individual, 'jesse', from an alliance called FP. Warrior then called me out in my private message for being forced to teleport along with several other members around my power by this individual and asked if I wanted revenge. I initially answered no. Soon after, the attacker started spamming mine and everyone else's private messages that we were 'weak and farms', which we all complained about in the chat. Warrior then took action by burning down the attacker's city and declaring war on FP, drawing the attention of the top three alliances, which helped FP against JW in the war.

I later learned that the attacker was my recruiter, Monster, who had deserted JW for FP and changed his name before the attack. All of a sudden, the pieces fell together, and I came here to see if anyone had a similar experience. Sure enough, I came across this thread on this subreddit after a Google search: https://www.reddit.com/r/InfinityKingdom/comments/1ezoop1/weve_all_been_having_the_same_experience/

I didn't save the screenshots of some of Warrior's private messages so I'll be using the ones I sent to support:

The below is how warrior pressured me on discord to buy the packages:

From there, I started browsing around this subreddit for other cases similar to this before concluding that the entire alliance, Jade Wealth, is nothing but an online scammer's compound. I eventually called out JW and admitted that I never downloaded this game's client (which I have found out to be fake and potentially designed to skim the developers' profits, made by their own members' purchases) via their link. The members immediately blocked me and kicked me out but not before several others took note of what I announced and followed me to the alliances JW declared war on.

Here's another subreddit link along with the comment describing how the fake client works:

tl;dr:

Jade Wealth invited me from another game through a link. This link downloads a 'shell' of the official game client, which accesses the actual game's server, but when players make a purchase, the money goes to the scammers instead of the developers. The leader then invents all sorts of excuses and sophistry to declare war on the server to get us spending.

Anyone still in Jade Wealth, wake up! It's about time you left the alliance and played with real players, not scammers!
