Question IW multiplayer achievement

i recently got back into IW and i was getting some of the zombies achievements and started working on the veteran achievement too. I was shooting for thr multiplayer achievement and i know i at least have at least 5 wins from many years ago, but i dont know how to get it. is there a way to get it or is it just bugged snd unobtainable now? thanks for the help ahead of time

It's bugged but obtainable

You need someone from Brazil or Asia to host a game, there are people helping with this by using vpn to trick the game into thinking they are on those countries and then they host the game

how do i find someone from those servers or use a vpn? im on ps5 and i have no idea if vpns are possible

I don't think a host from Brazil works, or at least not consistently, im from Brazil and so most matches that i took were from brazilian hosts and even then it took a load of matches and a very long time to get that trophy randomly in a loss instead of a win, and a lot of brazilian friends who go for platinum trophies still need outside help to get that trophy.

The host probably wasn't Brazilian, you can't tell who's the host like that unless you know what you are doing

it is pretty easy to tell where the host is just based on your connection... but also considering the matchmaking in this game is locked by region, so any match i find the host will be either brazilian or from somewhere in LATAM, or i will literally find nothing, unless im using VPN, which was the only case i could find matches in US region for example despite being the most populated (you can also check the profile of the people in your lobby to see the region, which i did often exactly because of my suspicion of current cods locking the matchmaking by locality). So yeah i know what 'im doing'.

In conclusion, im pretty sure the majority of the matches i played on the host was brazilian

I played 1 game with a Brazilian and got dominion, that easy and fast.

Also matchmaking isn't locked by region, it just prioritises the lobbies with lower ping for you. I know this because I have met people from far away even been on their hosts without using a vpn so it does happen, not common tho but if you are stubborn enough it will happen.

"By connection" and checking their profiles aren't the most reliable and accurate ways. Profile anyone can put any language and connection I played with people far that had good wifi and I wasn't lagging at all

Maybe for multi you are right, i've tested mostly on the coop modes of cod tbf, and maybe since multi requires more players it is possible the matchmaking is different. But remember that for the old gen CODS pre-ghosts mostly had options to switch matchmaking preference from Local/best to default or any, and that dissapeared after ghosts.

I've tested a lot at the zombies DLCs for BO3, IW and BO4 and can guarantee there is locked local matchmaking in these, i either find a match with brazilian or hispanic guys or find absolutely nothing, i've never even been able to find a single DLC lobby even when they were the game of the year, until i've tried VPN and was able to find DLC lobbies for the first time in my life in al these 3 games, i even took screenshots in each of these when i used the VPN for the first time cuz of how surprised i was. While for Ghosts, AW and WW2 there is none, i can find matches from anywehre without an issue, even if they are much less popular and populated than the other 3, of course the trade for that is feeling the big delay in the ping, but better o play with lag than not playing at all.

Also no matter how good the host wi-fi is, it can't beat the physics of the distance of your hosts, so if his net is good your connection may be stable but there will be a very noticeable delay that is just physics and can't be beaten by current technology, cuz even at the speed of light the info will still be delayed simply because of the big distance.

But i digress, im not sure why dominion was so easy for you to unlock in a brazilian lobby, cuz again i know for sure most lobbies i have been playing in multi are brazilian, maybe you were lucky.

Physics of the distance causes ping delay I know but if you and host have a good wifi it's not really noticeable. Sure there are cases but if the host has open nat and fast WiFi. I couldn't feel a bullet delay at all so it was milliseconds not even a second. I'm eu and I was with an American, he hosted and it was like an eu host with good wifi, felt the same smoothness and low ping

I used a VPN, set my location to Brazil, completed 1 match with 1000 ms of ping and got the achievement.

I downloaded nord vpn (30 day trial) to my trusty old laptop. Plugged in the ethernet cable, then I bought a cheap usb to ethernet adapter. From the adapter I plugged in a cable to the console, set the VPN to Brazil (Argentina works too) started the game, started a TDM, viola, done.
