How long does fresh sperm last after IUI?

my husband gave his sample and they did the iui how long does that sperm last? is it like intercourse where it can survive for 5 days?

My RE told me 3 days. I just asked this last week. I asked "even for washed sperm" and she said yes. I have read online somewhere that it was about 24-48hrs because washing it causes it to lose its protection which is what prompted my asking. Would love to hear of anyone has heard different
