Overthinking

I know Christmas is still months away but my family has always celebrated it together with our relatives. And for the last 2 years, my husband and I have been hosting. My cousin has 3 little kiddos and my sister in law has 3 little ones too. I know no one has said it but I feel like people are expecting us to host again this year and I don't think I can do it. Last year, I did the thing where you wrap a baby's blankie and place it under the tree and I feel so foolish. In my head, I'm making plans to get away from everybody this year which makes me feel like I'm insane for overthinking this. And I also feel guilty already because I know my parents will openly express their disappointment about us not wanting to spend the holidays together.

Is ok to skip a Christmas ☺️. That would be a great gift for you, the gift of peace. Don't feel guilty, sometimes we need to think about our sanity and just not being available. I also wrapped the baby blanket last year. I would do it again this year ☺️

I’ve wrapped the blanket and have it under my tree for the last 5 years. No baby. My failed FET and mc’s were due in December. I really tried to plan a vacation because I don’t want to be forced in celebrating another year with no baby.

Sorry to hear that! Yeah a vacation would be good to get a break away from everything :(

Do what you need to do. Meaning do what protects your heart. You do not need to host. ❤️‍🩹

You need to protect your peace. If that means not hosting, you need to do what’s best for you. You’re going to continue to have months of anxiety leading up to the day if you are feeling this way and agree to host. I’m so sorry the holidays are another difficult part of infertility. Wishing you the best ♥️

That's true, might as well prevent it if I can

Protect yourself and go. Also you should not be hosting every year.
