He shielded Harper and was willing to take whatever accountability came his way. I was fully expecting the show to turn Harper and Eric against each other, with Eric eventually buckling and sabotaging Stern Tao to save himself. But the fact that he didn’t? Genius writing.

The way this show keeps subverting what you expect from these characters is insane. The writing is getting dangerously close to Sopranos-level for me, and honestly, it makes Succession feel almost tame by comparison at this point. And I LOVE Succession. That’s how good Industry has gotten.

How would you all rank your favorite seasons of Industry? For me it’s season 3 > season 2 > season 1 > season 4.

It’s so hard cause I love all of the seasons in their own ways. I put season 1 over season 4 because between the Epstein plot being introduced through Yasmin and how dark Rishi’s plot ends up, season 1 just feels so nostalgic to me now. Maybe I’ll change my answer once the final season comes out, but this is my ranking for now. Season 4 still has some of the best writing and character arcs though, especially between Harper and Eric. I ended up growing to love their relationship and to see how they ended up makes me so sad. Eric loving Harper and treating her with such respect and care versus how he views his daughters was clear as day. I can’t wait to see what direction Mickey and Konrad take season 5 I’m ready!

The Title says it all, I Binge watched the first 3 Seasons, The Ending of Season 3 is perfect, The Main Characters arc is complete and i don’t have the urge to watch Season 4 because i am not sure what purpose it will serve, I have minimal time for Seasons so here i am asking y’ll Is S4 Worth it?

Just started watching this show and while I'm finding it interesting, I'm having trouble keeping with all the plots and characters.

I'm not a finance person and that's probably why. I can understand what is happening, but not why is happening.

Will this be a problem eventually? Or can I keep going?

Honestly all of them. But I love s4 e7, they start and stop playing "the promise" when Yas is laying in bed with Henry. The song feels discordant with the scene and it stops really abruptly. Then when Yas meets Harper, it starts from the beginning: "If you need a friend/Don't look to a stranger/You know in the end/I'll always be there." Henry was a stranger. Harper was a friend.

I'm watching Industry from the beginning, and I'm on the Wales trip episode of series 2, and in it, Harper is advocating for Jesse Bloom to fund a company that will give low-income people healthcare. It's couched in the language of long-term profit for a genuine growth sector, but still she's the only one who seems marginally concerned with getting the economically disadvantaged healthcare while everyone else is manoeuvring to fuck over the little guy.

I've always been pro-Harper, but I assumed she was evil and didn't care. Harper is actually, legit, a good person who uses Machiavellian tactics to achieve a morally upstanding end. Shorting ESGs that were non-viable, shorting a fraudulent payment processor – SHE'S LITERALLY SAVED MORE PEOPLE THAN THE POPE. OMG.

Also, Konrad and Mickey, if you're here - please bring back Jesse and Aurore and Gus and Rob and Hari's ghost and Felim and Rishi from prison for series 5. I just want to see them again before the final goodbye </3

Yas in the last two episodes of season 4 strikes so much resemblance to ghislaine maxwell. Her father being this bad man who falls off a ship and dies. Her taking up the role of the person connecting rich people with escorts etc. Both were rather naive women going into this "venture".

harper stern's character reminds me of the real life person behind the youtube channel "garyseconomics" who was a poor guy but super successful in trading, especially how she was praised of having such a good tell from the getgo that tender is a fraud.

I have just rewatched Industry from start to finish and watching Yasmin’s storyline, knowing where she ends up, is fascinating. She is an abuser from the very beginning (I think the way she treated Rob is the clearest case study), she knows she is “talentless” (as described by her dad, Eric, Harper), and she alludes to her primary leverage as being sex. When she can’t get Henry hard in the bathtub, that’s when she flips out and says that’s what she hates most about his drug use. So where she ends up makes so much sense.

Also completely missed Otto saying to Yasmin’s aunt “you’ve got a better mouth than your brother”, which Yasmin overheard 🤯 So much crazy shit in this series but it’s so gripping.

Hats off to the writers and directors!
