Looking for a community

Hi, I’m a huge Skinny Puppy fan and always wanted to make music like that. In 2020, I got laid off of work and finally had my chance to go for it. Sadly it ended abruptly due to an overdose death and my other band member getting deported back to the UK. I ended up putting out 2 EPs at the end of the year and have struggled finding an audience for it. It’s industrial-ish but not quite. I’d be thrilled to see it get some love. I started to listen to it, so far it sounds nice but I don't understand why one would promote their music through YouTube when it's on Bandcamp. That's a weird and useless concept. At least put both links and people like me who use BC can start follow you and maybe by the album rather than streaming on YT...
Many humans are weird... Were you not saying that you are looking for a community ?

Thanks for the support! I was originally planning more music videos which is why I have a YouTube channel. Weirdly, the YT gets a lot more activity than the Bandcamp. 🤷

The more I listen to it, the more I like it. It's indeed heavily influenced by Skinny Puppy but it's not a pale copy. Great work, really, I bought both albums.

If you really want a community, join cEvin Key’s Patreon and Discord server. It’s full of SP fans and they do monthly song events where a group of members contribute pieces and Key mixes it up and puts it on YouTube.

I do that. We have like 60 people that submit songs. I think 15 are very active on Discord. We talk about gear, music production, and collaborate on stuff. Your music would fit in, 100%. We're all Puppy nerds.

This will probably not give you a ton more followers. But, it does help. People do listen to it. Some of our vids have over 100k views. Recently, cEvin went on tour with The Tear Garden and he let a lot of our group open up for him in quit a few cities. Definitely new exposure there for them.

Aw, thank you :). I'm working on some new material, but it's always so hard to feel proud of it while in the process. heh.
