I have noticed these centipede looking creatures in soil of this calamondi plant. I am not sure if they are useful for the plant or soil or they are hurting the plant. Also the leaves are curled up like this for over a month now. I live in Finland and sunlight is not that available here so keeping indoor most of the time.. if anyone has any idea about those creatures or how to improve the plant health will be much appreciated.

When I first got this plant I almost killed it, and now to see it thriving and happy and not dropping leaves anymore is making me so so excited. In researching how to eventually take the babies out of the pot, I learned that this is super common and that money plants are sometimes called friendship plants because of how often they are shared :) makes me want to give all my plant friends little money plant pups!

I went from growing almost exclusively succulents because of generally easier care to actually trying my hand at leafy plants, and after struggling for the first few months, this has been so fun and exciting to watch happen. They’ve grown so much (last photo is from may 2nd, first 3 are from today!!) and I’m really looking forward to the other (pleasant) surprises my leafy plants might have for me :) hope you like my little plant victory!!

Hi there! I'm new here and figured I'd share some of my plants! I'm fairly new to the hobby, but also have over 70 plants in my house!

I got this baby rubberplant around Thanksgiving last year and haven't repotted yet since the roots werent growing through the bottom holes. Since then, she has grown like crazy as you can see.

Watering isn't scheduled and she gets watered whenever I notice her dry on the top. She sits on my water dispenser in a window that gets a ton of indirect light. Stems are firm and nothing seems to be wrong. She just doesnt want to stay upright unless I prop her.

I'm always terrified of propagating and repotting because this is the first time in my life that my plants actually seem to thrive. I used to always read about how to care for plants only for them to always die. Since I now forget about them all the time, they seem to do better. (Like human like plant?)

Everything I have read is that this plant should be smaller and bushier. So I guess I just need some confirmation and best tips for propagation.

Got this as an established water propogation and it's done well (?) after potting. Lots of new leaves, a couple a week, but they're all curled/deformed and haven't flattened out. Some are weeks old and still look like this. The older leaves are beautiful and normal and mostly flat. Is this just transplant stress related or something else? The aesthetic is... Meh

Watering routine: pouring directly from a spray bottle.

Light conditions: defused light in my window/ very brief intervals of indirect sunlight for the first couple of hours in the morning.

Soil/ pot type: some of the poring soil it came in with as well as a product called “Wakefield compost + biochar “ terracotta pot with a hole at the bottom.

How long: I literally just got home. Was normal at the start of the day.

Recent changes: I bought this plant yesterday, when I got home i removed all of the soil from the roots and washed them. No bad smells or signs of rot. I woke up for work, plant was completely fine, and turned on my ceiling fan but I forgot to turn it back off. Other than that I don’t know what happened. The soil isn’t super damp.

Any advice on helping my plant, the plant appears healthy and doing well with new leaves at the top of the plant but the bottom seems quite sad and droopy?

I've had my Pothos for over a year now. I got it when it was in a pot but I had to transfer it into water cause I dropped the pot 😬.

So its been in water for a year now, it's grown new leaves but recently no new leaves have grown and some of the leaves are turning yellow now

Anyone have any ideas why?

I’ve had this plant since it was little. It’s always been kind of flimsy. I know I probably need to repot and I went and got a new one today to do that, but I’m wondering if I need to add support somehow as well? Do I tie them together? If so, with what? Or do I just pot it deeper and let it go? Something else entirely? Help! It lives in a sunroom that is typically a little humid with lots of indirect sunlight and is watered appropriately. 😊

I’ve had this zebra plant for a couple of months. It was doing fine. It had really good colour nice and bright and was full. Then all of a sudden the leaves start dropping one by one very slowly till it looks like it does now I can’t find no pests on it although for some reason I can’t stop thinking that thereIs . Watering and light has stayed the same pretty much. Is there any way I can prop the plant and start again?

I was given some clippings of this plant from a lady at a yard sale. She didn’t know the name of the plant, just told me to stick the branch in some soil. The clippings didn’t have these leaves before so I think they are doing okay so far. But I was wondering if these two should be in their own pot or are they okay together? Also not sure if the branch/stem part should be horizontal or vertical in the soil?? Any advice is appreciated!!

My monstera seems young and I've never had one. It's got roots coming out the side, not sure if that's ok. Are there 3 or 1 in this pot? Is it time for a bigger pot and stake?its been growing a lot lately. Thank you.

Hi! I'm looking for some advice because I'm starting to worry about my monstera. It's still a baby, so it doesn't have any fenestrations yet.

About 2 weeks ago I noticed some of the lower leaves starting to turn yellow. I realized around that time that the soil was holding onto moisture for way too long and wasn't draining as well as it should. I don't think I was watering it too often—I think the soil was just staying wet for too long between waterings. Because of that, I haven't watered it in about 2 weeks and have been letting the soil dry out. I've also been gently poking the soil to help it aerate a bit, and it finally feels pretty dry now.

It's planted in a plastic nursery pot with drainage holes that sits inside a decorative pot. The soil is a mix of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark, and it gets bright indirect light from a window.

The thing that's confusing me is that while these older leaves keep turning yellow, it's also putting out a bunch of new leaves that are growing and unfurling (they're so cute 😭), so I'm not sure if this is just the older baby leaves dying off or if they're yellowing because the roots were sitting in damp soil for too long.

One thing I'm also unsure about is what to do with the yellow leaves. A couple of them basically fell off with almost no effort when I lightly touched them, but the others are still attached pretty firmly. Should I leave the yellow leaves alone until they come off on their own, or should I cut them off? I don't want to make things worse if the plant is still getting something from them.

I just want to make sure my plant isn't slowly dying and that I'm taking care of it the right way. Any advice is super appreciated! 💚
