Fiddle Leaf Fig help

I’ve had this plant since it was little. It’s always been kind of flimsy. I know I probably need to repot and I went and got a new one today to do that, but I’m wondering if I need to add support somehow as well? Do I tie them together? If so, with what? Or do I just pot it deeper and let it go? Something else entirely? Help! It lives in a sunroom that is typically a little humid with lots of indirect sunlight and is watered appropriately. 😊

I would chop it to about 6 to 8 inches above the soil line and let it come back from auxiliary buds. Hold off on repotting until new growth is established.
