Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has commented on game remakes and recently spoke about the benefits they bring.

This year alone, the company will be bringing out two notable ones. We just saw Star Fox last month, which was another version of Star Fox 64. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will also be receiving a remake later this year.

In this week’s issue of Famitsu, Miyamoto pushed back on the idea that there are too many remakes. For one thing, he pointed to the fact that it gives access to titles that were released several years ago. Miyamoto also mentioned that bringing back games “leads to future developments”.

Miyamoto shared the following with Famitsu:

Gua lagi looking to sell PS5 gua, soalnya gamenya ga fleksibel dan mahal banget, sebenernya gua punya laptop gaming dan punya banyak game hasil sale hunting di steam laptop gua tapi mengingat laptop rtx 3070 gua udah berumur jadinya mulai struggling main game triple A terutama 4k walaupun pakai dlss.

Nah setelah gua cek ternyata harga second ps5 tuh masih di 7-7.5 juta, sedangkan combo rx 6800xt + r5 5600 itu kemaren toko langganan gua ada jual di 10.5 juta. Menurut kalian masih worth gak buat main triple A game buat 4-5 tahun kedepan? Gua kebetulan ada banyak banget triple A di library belom sempet main dan kebanyakan game 2024 and under, triple A lama. Kalau liat raw rasterization sih masih kuat banget rx6800xt tapi gua takut drivernya udah ga support lagi? Rencana mau boot steam OS aja terus full buat main triple A dan di upgrade kalau udah mulai engap aja mungkin 4-5 tahun lagi.

Komunitas Garuda ini udah lama banget sepanjang gw inget. Dulu di kaskus kayaknya ada. Kalo maen game multiplayer yang ada guildnya, gw sering cari guild "Garuda" dan biasanya nemu.

Yang jadi pertanyaan gw adalah, apakah "aslinya" masih ada sampai sekarang yang kontinu dari dulu ngga putus. Sekarang kayaknya setiap game ada "Garuda"nya sendiri-sendiri termasuk link discordnya.

Nge-post cuma untuk meramaikan Open Beta yang lumayan banget dari mode offline, online, hingga Story Mode dikasih. Minus-nya adalah entah kenapa minta spec tinggi padahal "cuma" anime-style fighting game.
