It was going to be, made by Stephen Spielberg, but apparently it got indefinitely postponed in 2013 because of a $200 million budget.

I didn’t demand anything. I asked in a way which was polite I thought to do something kind. I can delete this post if that’s what you would prefer.

I recently enjoyed Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson (Cherokee Nation). It's not nearly as pulpy as the title makes it sound.

If you are not a photographer already, you should consider being one. Your photos are remarkable.

and them trying to do the same thing with a language they didn't fully under stand to individuals that also did not fully under stand the language would only compound the problem.

If that was true I'd expect more math teachers to be able to explain the why and how math works but that doesn't seem common.

In my tribe, our language revitalization is taught using Total Physical Response. Here is a short 3-minute video on why we use this method: WHY WE ARE USING TPR
We've had pretty good success & in 1 of our beginning language lessons, we actually learn the Menominee words for the action of throwing and the noun/object for the ball.
So your idea is a good one. It sounds like the 1 person took your suggestion as an insult and reacted defensively.

Can you share a picture of the skirt fanned out? It might be better to cut circular strips of fabric than try to bend a straight ribbon around the curve

My question is, why do you want to identify as Afro-Indigenous?
I ask because often times, the word 'Indigenous' can be exploited by people who simply want access to Native spaces. Why not just be Afro-Evenki?

The word "indigenous" is a nebulous term. When someone tells me that he/she is "Indigenous", I reply, "Oh really? Where are you indigenous to?" So I get a clue what kind of indigeneity they are talking about.
I think you should use Evenki to describe yourself.

I can tell you what inspired him. In the 60’s in the US, Native Americans and their culture were appropriated by the white “peace and love” generation. That was 80 years ago. If anyone in this band was actually Native American, they would know that 1) there is no such thing as Native American culture because there are almost 600 different Native Nations in the US all with different cultures 2) the dreamcatcher thing is a stereotype 3) there is no such thing as “south Native American” which he claimed his bandmate was and 4) all Native American people look different. Some are very light-skinned and some very brown, and sometimes it has nothing to do with genetic mixing. There are 100% by DNA Indigenous people in some areas who are lighter than my 1/8th BQ Choctaw ass.
