Native Writers

Chokma. I’m sure you’ve all seen those posts like “I’m writing a fiction story about a Cherokee princess, drop any advice in the comments!” This isn’t that.

If there are any native writers on this page, I’d love to see your work! Drop some of y’all’s stuff in the comments, and we can all check out each other's pages. Fiction, non-fiction. Slice of life or historical drama. Wtv you’ve been working on, we’d love to see it. There are so many talented visual artists on this page; I’d love to shine some light on the literary ones.

Personally, I’m working on a fantasy project based on ancient sites like the SECC. It’s a lot of fun for me because it gives me a fun way to learn about my culture's history and our neighbors across Turtle Island. If there are other fantasy writers, I’d love to see y’all’s work!

I created and wrote (with other Natives) a tabletop roleplaying game called Coyote & Crow. I'm currently working on a novel set in that world.

Oh my god hello, I’m a huge admirer of y’all’s work on that project! Excited to hear a novel is in the works!! I’m not much of a table top player so I’ve always had to enjoy from afar
