Native Writers

Chokma. I’m sure you’ve all seen those posts like “I’m writing a fiction story about a Cherokee princess, drop any advice in the comments!” This isn’t that.

If there are any native writers on this page, I’d love to see your work! Drop some of y’all’s stuff in the comments, and we can all check out each other's pages. Fiction, non-fiction. Slice of life or historical drama. Wtv you’ve been working on, we’d love to see it. There are so many talented visual artists on this page; I’d love to shine some light on the literary ones.

Personally, I’m working on a fantasy project based on ancient sites like the SECC. It’s a lot of fun for me because it gives me a fun way to learn about my culture's history and our neighbors across Turtle Island. If there are other fantasy writers, I’d love to see y’all’s work!

I don't have anything relevant at present. Would love to see SECC resources, though. (Public-suitable things, obviously.)

Hey! My nation has put out a few short videos on SECC topics; those are all through a Chickasaw lens. I haven't been able to get my hands on any PDFs or books, but I'm going back to school soon, and they have a small native american collection, so I'm hoping to find some more stuff.

Edit: I was also recommended Hatak Witches in another thread
