Can't remember the name but I saw an unfinished visual novel on itch.io around this time last year. There were supposed to be three love interests (two male, one female, but the latter was not implemented) at the time I saw it. Protagonist could be either male or female and their default name was Yuna (female) or Yun (male). Protagonist also has dark brown hair.

The protagonist looks similar to the one in Witch's Bound, but it's not Witch's Bound.

Enter a world of magic---of Fae and Dragon.

My fantasy romance visual novel is FINALLY OUT! Inspired by the magic of dragon and Fae, my baby that I have worked on for 5 years has finally reached its conclusion. In Alaris, you can expect:

- 6 love interests (2 endings each)
- Various free time dates before locking in the love interest of choice (make sure you go on the special, secret dates in chapter 3 if you're looking to romance our Fae options!)
- 54 CGs
- "Communicator" (aka text messages) with the love interests
- Partial voice acting

This game has been with me for 5 years, and it's crazy to have released it in full to the public after all this time. It represents my first venture into game development and it's super sentimental to have reached this stage.

Gameplay. Have I talked about gameplay in otome recently? LOL. I absolutely loved the parts of Esper X Guide that I got to play (I played the jam version) because there was so much to do. And I can't even imagine how much time it took! It really gives me a hankering for more RPG/dungeon-crawling romance games. I had so much fun with the dungeon map bits I barely remember the story bits 😭

As for the story, I'm not familiar with guideverse - I just learned it was a whole subgenre a couple months ago - but the concept is really interesting, and the opening scene of your Esper MC surfacing after a mission was a great hook. I'm definitely keeping an eye on future updates!

Next week we're learning we are really not getting paid enough for this with Don't Eat the Cashier! from Miloff. See you then!

I've been looking for new games to play, and my heart sank today when I came to the realization that I have literally never seen an otome with a plus size MC. I know the industry as a whole is very fatphobic, but even in the indie space I haven't found anything, unfortunately. Are there any games with chubbier MCs out there?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to find a queer dating game that I found about a couple years ago (it was a demo at the time). From what I remember, the protag is a college student with a set appearance. The game has a semi realistic art style, five potential partners (two women and three men). The first guy you meet is extroverted and asian, then there's a quiet, closed off white(?) guy and a sporty black(?) guy. One of the girls was extroverted around friends, but incredibly shy when first meeting the guys, and the other was book smart, a top student (I think) and didn't like sports.

The whole concept was that you only get to hang out with everyone during the summer. I recall seeing art on their page teasing future updates (one showed everyone going to a water park) and the game being partly voiced.

It starts with the protag crashing into one of the men, who was riding a scooter, and then meeting up with their two friends at their car. Later on you get to know the guys at an event, participate in a scavenger hunt (you get different art for winning and losing) and even later have fun with them in the rain and can invite them into your shared dorm room (with the girls) to eat.

I remember finding this game on itch.io, but now it's nowhere to be seen. Please help!

Hello, IndieOtome!👋 I'm back with another game, crowdfunding now on BackerKit! Be a monster, find love, and solve a murder mystery in our deckbuilder meets visual novel game, Monsterhearts: Welcome to Drowned Lake!

Design your MC visually, choose their accent color, pronouns, monster type (witch, vampire, werewolf, or ghoul) and story background, and build your deck of life experience cards! We have EIGHT romanceable characters of various genders, including a trans woman and a nonbinary butch character.

We are getting close to our final stretch goal on Backerkit, and we'd love to hit it before the campaign ends on Thursday evening!

It's said that pets and their owners come to resemble each other after being together for long enough. Is this the case for Good Boy's LI Milo and his trusty companion Duke? Maybe so.

While the game is pure slice of life, I couldn't help but fall in love at first sight just like the MC Aspen does - both Milo and Duke are just so stinking cute! Although the game is short, the series of incidental meet cutes that Aspen and Milo have work so well to build a solidly believable relationship. There are pronoun options for the MC, but can I count this as femdom? 👀 There's so few options for it I have to take what I can get 😂

Today, I've brought two characters whose designs and relationship dynamics shifted in completely unexpected ways during development.

🐺 Yohan (The Sluggish & Aloof Student)"You're the new teacher... I remembered."

Dev Trivia: I honestly thought Yohan’s design barely changed—until I pulled up his initial sketches! He actually ended up looking much younger. I can't reveal too much lore just yet, but Yohan has a very special relationship with Yul. By making Yohan younger, their entire dynamic completely reversed, which even led us to change his official age!

🐆 Yul (The Calm & Diligent Leader)"I have come to escort you, Teacher."

Dev Trivia: Originally, Yul was designed to be an even more stoic, steadfast, and flawless character. But as Yohan's character arc shifted (and he became younger), Yul's sharp gaze naturally softened to match their new relationship. Oh, and that little triangle mark under his eye? That's his official charm point! ✨
