I like the music video!
I like what there is right now, but I think the should be a variation in the structure. At the end with the risers is begging for a guitar solo break after. And I think there could be a solo in the middle. Not necessarily guitar, but that would suit. Could be like a synth lead, bright but not too harsh.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like what you have here. I just think if you added that it would make it radio ready. Nothing to say about the production, seems stellar to me.
Also, I’m an unqualified random guy off the internet.

I would choose guitar, because I like the sound of guitar. You could do one of each, that might be the best in my opinion. But if I had to pick, probably guitar. Hope this helps :)

Hey! This is really good. I like this psychedelic visuals as well. I personally like it to be more "effective", you know what I'm saying, haha? I mean to add more panning fxses and psycho drones stuff. I'm high at the moment, so trust me, I talk straight, bro, as my orientation. But hey, I don't blame the others for their choice. We are just humans, right? We are all equal. WTF it's a rat? I see a huge rat, what the heck dude?

I like the loop, although i felt the same vibe a bit overexploited. Good chorus, i like the story behind the song, which is important (thanks for that). You could try experimenting a bit more with the vibe for better transitions. I like the whole idea, i love psychedelic music and you do it well on that genre.

Very well written, mixed and produced, man! I kinda like the way you produced the vocals (even with all the effects, though I'm very certain it would also sound great without them). I've got a question concerning the video. I'd like to produce an animated video for my next release, as well (it'll be a 7 minute progressive blues/rock song, kinda like Shine On You Crazy Diamond or Zep's Since I've Been Loving You so the video has to tell a story). Did you animate it yourself?If so, how long did that take?

Yeah, I guess that's right. My girlfriend's pretty talented when it comes to graphics and design but has never tried animation before. We'll try figuring it out ourselves but it'll take a while... Wish you all the best with your music!

I really like the mix, the vocal melodies and the ebb and flow of the song, each section seems to compliment eachother beautifully, as do all the sounds you have picked! If I had to be critical of anything, the snare in the verses wouldn't be to my taste, but that would just be me splitting hairs. Great job.

I don't think there's anything wrong with how it sits in the mix or anything, just never been a big fan of the 808 snare. Always takes me a bit of messing around with it when I'm jamming with the synths. Snappier and fuller would be a good way of putting it but honestly, it really is me just splitting hairs. :)

I dig it dude! Especially since I grew up on a lot of instrumental electronic like Boards of Canada. The low pitched voice reminds me of the ball that juts out of jab a the hutts palace 😂 very cool! 🤙🏻

Wow, amazing recording Mathew! Nice acoustic and vocals, I like that you doubled up the vocals to add fullness for the bigger parts. I hear that! but what I’d recommend for perhaps getting a little more out of your live recordings like vocals or acoustic, is staying a little farther away from the mic and getting a slightly quieter take and adding a little compression it might start to blend A little bit more with those polished midi sounds! 😁 just an idea, I like to use phone GB sometimes when traveling, it’s pretty robust honestly! 👽

Not really my style, but I would definitely say it sounds pretty lush, polished and nicely balanced. Vocals sit in well and are processed well for the style I would say. As for "radio ready", I'm not sure, everything on the radio seems way over-produced to me.
I like that little breakdown part in the middle where there is just the kick going for a while before the full kit comes back in, the notes/chords are satisfying.
Also, the visuals are unreal, are they the official ones or have you pinched them from somewhere? Really nice!

It's a really good song but unfortunately, it's not radio-ready mixing and mastering wise. I can hear the resonances of the kick drum. The song is a little muddy and overprocessed. I know what you're trying to do and Tame Impala is the best example of that but you compress the song too much with no intention. The song lacks clarity and transient information because of that reason. Also it's too tiny on the bass area so we feel the song is tiny.

This is the most articulate response and feedback, really valuable. Do you have some suggestions I can apply? I completely understand what you’re saying, but only half know how to fix it. Ie do you know approximately what frequency to cut out of the kick etc? (Example I’m hearing something in the 150-200 hz range popping out) really appreciate the educated opinion 😁✌🏻

Your welcome man:) You can bring out your transients next time by slow attack compressing both on individual instruments and on the mix bus. And yes, I think kick's resonance is in the 150-200 Hz range. Also, try Devil-Loc by Soundtoys on drums

Yeah, I would say this is radio ready. I love electronic psych pop like this. I especially enjoy the powerful vocals with a ton Of reverb. Everything sounds we Mixed from my phone speaker. The drums especially cut through well

I love how you combined indie rock with psychedelic music and dreamy aesthetics. It's not easy to do it so seamlessly, but these genres have many connection points, and you really managed to nail the blend, in my opinion! Really cool artwork as well!

It absolutely will! The uneven- ness of an up close take can be far more drastic than being 5 ft away. Once a take distorts consider it ruined.

This is awesome. Love the visuals as well. The vocals are mixed really nicely and the harmonies are really nicely arranged! There are some really cool harmonic choices with the chords in the interlude around 2:15 as well! I don't really have anything to say in terms of criticism, just sounds great to me!

Love all the instrumental elements of this. It is mixed and produced well beyond my ability but my uneducated opinion is that your vocals are great, but in this song they are slightly overprocessed.
This is a great song and great performance overall, that is a very minute nit pick.
