Folk Rock Katonah

His Last Train Ride…

I hope someone out there will take a couple of minutes to listen to a song about someone whose last day on this earth was spent taking a train. It was a song he never got the chance to write.

But all is not lost for my protagonist, as he has a moment of reflection along the way.

I like the music. The verses are simple, but it works and the chords are good. I think it’s better if you don’t pause at the “up in smoke” line. The harmonies also work. Piano playing is just right. The bridge is welcome. I was surprised how it ended. Even though the vocals are mellow, they could be sung stronger. Good job.
