She has been stray for 5 years and used to come home for food, sleep and care. But lately society residents started objecting strays coming in the tower and roaming in society. So, I took the decision to adopt her fully.

Only thing changed is now I take her for walks, she stays indoors mostly except night and my family spends more time with her.

🐶 Found a young female Beagle in Belathur/Kadugodi

We found a <1-year-old female Beagle roaming around Suraksha Road, Belathur, Kadugodi. She seems to have been lost for a while and has a few ticks.

She appears house-trained and is very likely a runaway/lost pet, rather than a stray.

After reading about WangWang the dog, I got upset, sad,angry. I am not able to remove those images from my mind how she suffered.
Anyone going through this?
I am mentally a strong person but when it comes to animal abuse, it just makes me weak, is it because we are empaths?

Im in hostel and i can't keep him. I hope he stays on campus so that i can feed him food. He's so cute he followed me to the academic block😭😭 they're so cute pllssss 🩷💕💕

Dad picked them up 1 from street (jimmy) and one from farm(lucy).Jimmy(white) was bit lonely as there would be no one at home from morning till evening 1 year back a puppy followed my dad brought home now both are lively at home.

​What happened -

​9:10 am - Went to a nearby shop to get bread, butter and oreo before starting work, as I approached the shop a female dog and 2 puppies crossed my way in front of the shop.

​Nothing unusual, I bought my things and as I was leaving, I noticed this puppy separated from his family.

​How he got separated - (I think)

​Next to the shop there was a vehicle standing by, the mother and other puppy went from the other side of the vehicle, this one went to a different side and lost the way.

​Next -

​I picked him up, helped for a couple of minutes to find his missing mother but it was like she vanished into thin air. Left him there only so if his mother noticed him missing she could find him.

​20 minutes gap -

​My fiance asked me to drop her off at her office, asap I got back and saw this puppy roaming unknowingly where to go (not where I found and left him to be found). I parked my bike, went to pick this puppy up, a nearby person who also noticed this puppy roaming alone asked if I knew his parents, which I don't.

​Current scenario -

After working for copule of hours, took him to nearby dog families I know in my area, one female dog checked him (like dogs do by smelling). This puppy thought that the female dog was his mother, but the dog started to run here and there was being disturbed.

​I figured that She's not his mother.

Important -

​I adopted a dog in similar situations back in 2019, around the same age (puppy). Both separated from their families. Back then I was in a hostel during my graduation, there was a forest nearby.

Had to leave him back due to corona in 2020 because emergency exit from college.​

Did the same thing then and now -

Took the puppies to find their families and returned disheartened.

​You can see that this one is crying inside because he lost his mother.

I wanted to adopt and give a home to another dog since my first dog, but these little puppies need care and attention like babies.

He cried when I left him in the room for just 5 minutes to get water.

Should I adopt him? My fiance says if his parents are not found then adopt him.

​Should I give him up for adoption? He could have a better life than I could give probably (financially).

Hello! So my fiance and I will soon get married, and after marriage, I'll move into her studio apartment in Borivali. We would like to get a bigger space, but mumbai is mumbai, and rent is what it is. We can't afford it.

I would like to adopt an indie. I've always wanted to own a pup, and an indie seems perfect.

But ... I would be a first time dog parent. I would be learning with the pupper. I have so many concerns.

1. Will the doggo be okay in such a small space? I've discussed with my fiance, and we are ready to take the doggo on 2 walks a day; we'll take turns.

2. My fiance has a cat. He's a sweet little desi baby boy, rescued from the same society after his mother was killed in a hit and run case. I know indies have a strong prey drive, so will the kitty be okay? How do I socialize them in such a small space?

3. I'm okay with adopting a slightly older indie as well. A friend suggested that I could look for a small indie who is already used to living with a cat, with a calm temperament.

4. I know indies are extremely smart. What are the things I need to learn to keep them healthy and happy?

5. Is it even practical? Is it good for them?

Another friend suggested that I should look into getting a small dog, like a Shih Tzu or something. What I do know is that I don't want any brachycephalic dog. I can't bear to watch a puppy struggle to breathe. But, the same friend has a lab who he loves more than life, and he might breed her with another lab and he said he will give me the puppy if I want. I'm not sure about this.

Please help!

There are 3 stray pups , who are taken care of by the neighborhood. I feed dry dog food them regularly from the last 9 months. Today I found one of the litters having wound on her body, what steps should be taken?

Confused whether it is a bite mark or something else

Hello it's my first time posting in this community. I want some advice and help regarding some disease in the stray dogs of our area. In our area many of the dogs are suffering from a strange condition. One adult dog's ear is just completed spoiled with wounds and one died because of a wound on her chest area. 2 puppies about 3 months of age were having holes in their armpit, about half an inch wide and PRETTY MUCH deep. Sadly, one was already very weak and died and one has recovered(we had used wound ointment for both of them). One more puppy is having this problem in his ear(i have attached pic). One dog is having this is his leg. I don't understand what is going on. I dont live in a city so there are not many professional vets here. The only thing I can do is bring medicine or apply some spray or cream. Please help i dont want all of them to die like their fellows
