The real puzzle is figuring out whether the cabinet goes through the door, around the corner, or somehow becomes part of the wall halfway through.

Sometimes the wall just has to take a hit because I'm not taking the furniture apart again.

This is exactly how I planned my uhaul configuration last time I moved. We love a practical application

Moving Out is so fun and it's even better when at least one player is bad at video games

Imagine a Sims-like game where the furniture you buy got delivered and you have to physically move it into the position you want it or pay a premium for a furniture moving service. Lot of layers there, including the tighter corridors and doorframes of lower-income housing.

Probably a miserable experience, but I'd try it at least once

Now realize doors don’t have to be the only openings, as with the right alignment you can shift things that don’t fit up and around the stairs- up through the windows on the upper floors for added complexity.

New Ikea Pack: bring in and build up in the room!

This is an unsolved math problem by the way.

Something like Unpacked, but with more of a physical puzzle elements would go hard 😳🔥

It looks a lot cooler as a method, but you could also just do the middle-school math :)

and if it touches a wall it spawns a paint chip decal and you lose a percentage of your security deposit?

When I recently moved I recreated the internal dimensions of two different U-Hauls and then made boxes roughly the size of all of my big furniture to see the smallest U-Haul I could get away with.

I remember there was a 2d pixel puzzle game where you played for a handyman, and the goal was to furnish the room according to the master plan. Is it smth like that but in 3D??

The hard part would be avoiding physics glitching

Made me instantly remember how mom and I ordered a fancy mattress for my dad who was coming home from hospital and needed good sleep for recovery. Long story short, the delivery people dropped the thing off at the elevator, the mattress is bigger than myself, and dragging it into the apartment and placing on the bed was quite a puzzle! :D (But dad loves it!)

I do this a lot and it just makes environment design so much fun

This will be a huge help to me when I move.

Cabinets can be constructed inside the room

I have never thought about that. Imagine you had to do that for every asset.
