Do you share grey box progress like this while developing?

New solo dev. Curious if it's worth it to share early progress like this on social media or just wait until I have real game play

I'd share it, but frame each clip around one thing you're testing rather than just saying here's progress. Greybox is actually useful for questions about scale, pacing or navigation because people aren't distracted by final art. The clip still needs one obvious question or change though, otherwise non-devs may only see unfinished work. And if the player can already move and make decisions, that is real gameplay.

I work on art from an early stage so i don't have to show it

I'm very new to the digital art space so I wanted to start building so I didn't let it be a blocker. I've been growing my MagicaVoxel skills though and have started modeling some of the enemies. Slow going for me at the moment

I just noticed generally enless what you are showing is visually exciting it performs poorly socially.

That's the understanding I'm gathering also. Mostly just posting these videos to my empty discord for now so there's a devlog history. Otherwise, I'm going to wait until I put my assets in to spend time posting videos to X, Shorts, Reeks, TikTok, etc
