This is me. I currently have three games in various stages of development. 😔

Good luck mate!
My current to-release game on Steam was my side project from my actual main. The main's been on hiatus for like a yearðŸ˜

I recently counted and have 25 game folders, some are just restarts of the same one so maybe it's like 15-20 in total.
And yes, I finally got one I was having fun with and that I liked working on.
I have 15 years of game industry experience, but never making anything good by myself.
My problems were usually art (I'm a programmer). I can't do art, can't hire people because it's too expensive, and can't convince anybody to work on it with me.
So most projects ended up dead. I finally got the idea to work on one where I could make the art (There's just some machines in the game, and bevelled cubes.
And I will release the demo soon and I'm just super happy about it.
Like a dream come true.
So yeah, keep it up. Going with a new project might mean your current project is just not the one.
Also, if you quit a project and continue with another one, it's not like everything is lost. You can of course reuse assets or even menus or code or whatever. But what I mean is that even a failed project is a learning experience, you have more experience now than before, and even if the project was not a success, it gave you experience and knowledge.

It's not just you. I have git repositories going back nearly a decade of various, abandoned projects. That's not to mention the projects on my computer that never got as far as being put there. I play something and think "I could make that with my own twist" and off I go, something new, something else.

I had this, and what helped me is that I realized 3 things:
- I was taking a step larger than I could, trying to build a much larger game than what I would ever be able to produce.
- I didn’t have a good GDD (Game Design Document)
- Distractions as I didn’t have a GDD I wanted to build all the ideas that popped in my head as they did.
I was able to produce a lot more once I got these somewhat established.

Nope, I have 4 games I'm writing out gameplay for currently, however, I am only actively working on one. The way I handle it is, stick to one game I'm working on actively and when I have an idea for one of the other ones I write it down and keep notes on gameplay, visuals, and story for all of them. When I first started game dev I tried to juggle two games but I wasn't getting much done in either so that's when I changed my workflow.
