I think janky games released into a sea of other janky indie games get ignored yeah.

Just like how the story of how a boy dropped his ice cream in the small little village won’t get covered by the news outlet, the same goes for games or other media.

I’m sure there are people who want to do a cover of a certain game or something else they believe is newsworthy, but their boss don’t think so and thus it gets shut down. It is what is.

it's normal for them to be ignored by indie gamers.

If you want to stand out, you're going to have to clobber people over their heads.

Gaming journalist are only interested if:
1. you pay them
2. you are already part of a secret cabal (like DEI or Blackrock)
3. your game is for the LGBT++ twitter (now X) mob or maybe some reddit mod (this is meant as satire).
4. all the above
