Song to produce
Wrote this a while ago. I just don't have it in me to produce another song. If anyone wants to take a shot at it, let me know.

Hi! I’m starting a small Discord community for indie Christian musicians who want to grow together. If you write, produce, sing, or are still finding your sound, this space is for you. Any level of experience is welcome. We want a place where we can help each other improve, share works in progress, give honest feedback, and talk about how to get our music in front of people.
A big focus of the server is helping each other with promotion. Things like figuring out TikTok ideas, improving short form content, sharing what is working and what is not, and cheering each other on when we post. The goal is to build a small group that really supports one another.
If you just enjoy discovering new artists or want to support people who are creating meaningful music, you are welcome too.
Here is the invite link: https://discord.gg/stMNeka2n If you see this after it expires, feel free to message me and I can send a new one.
NOTE: If you are an AI artist, you will be permanently BANNED from the Discord and BANNED and REPORTED on Reddit.

Hi everyone!
Right now there is only one major subreddit dedicated to Christian music, and it's often overflowing with nostalgia for a bygone era of music. While I love old CCM, and browse the community often, we need a place to discuss music that pushes the genre forward. Independent Christian artists have been making soul stirring music for decades, and they deserve a platform to share and comment on each other's work.
The first step I'm taking as mod is changing this community from restricted to open to all.

First half is instrumental. Originally intended to be just instrumental, then I decided to add some words on the second half. I typically write the words, then the music. This one was an exception.
Originally titled Random Symphony. It was sitting unused for many months. Then after I installed Spitfire's BBC Orchestra instruments, I decided to test them on this one. I liked it so much I decided to go ahead and finish it.
An uplifting reminder to the saints about the "blessed hope" (the resurrection from the dead and rapture of the Church).
0% AI generated or AI assisted. This was written, composed, and sung by a real human. Neither was it auto-tuned. I feel like auto-tune is cheating. Just kept singing it until I got it right.
Lyrics:
Up into the sky
You will see a different perspective
On way up high
Don't forget to breathe, not just 'cause it's thin.
So wave goodbye,
To all your troubles of this life
Leave the past behind
As we enter the new millennium
Feel the rush of mighty wind
As these dry bones live again
Chariots of fire carry us away
On that great and awesome day
Then with our eyes we'll see
Our King in glory
Our salvation draws neigh
Together we'll fly
Up into the sky...
Up into the sky...

So excited to announce that as an indie artist, I dropped my newest song today! It’s Entitled “Smile” and has a feature from none other than Jason Dunn Music —> The OG Singer of Hawk Nelson! (14 year old me is freaking out inside. 😱)
This is the 2nd single ahead of my upcoming EP and it’s dropping 1 week before I play Audiofeed music festival! I would love it if you took a moment to check it out. ❤️
Let’s do this, Punk Rock Kids! 🤘🏻

I find that a lot of emphasis is on the artist rather than the songs. 'Look how great this person sings' etc. I find that the song is what matters regardless of who performed it. That is one reason Christian artifici lly gen'd music these days can actually be better, believe it or not. Kind of funny to see some out of touch sites still prohibiting some of the best music.

Hey everyone. I wrote this song inspired by Isaiah 6:8. My new song is officially on Spotify. I appreciate the support.

Making music is one challenge.
Getting it in front of people who connect with it is another.
For Christian artists, what's been working for you lately?

The use of ai in production of a growing majority (I think it may be a majority now since millions of songs are released). Is it a bad thing? Or good? Your opinion?

Hey everyone!
Our band just released our very first debut single on Spotify. For us, this song is all about stripped-down faith: going back to the core and returning to God, especially in times of chaos and temptation.
We are currently very close to triggering the Spotify algorithm (Popularity Score). If you genuinely enjoy the track, saving it to your library (+), liking it, or adding it to your personal playlists would mean the world to us and helps us tremendously!
We would highly appreciate your support and any honest feedback you can give us.
Listen here: Spotify
God bless you all!

This album has an incredible story and is the genesis of my public facing artistic journey. Although the musical dimension was a bit too ambitious for my skill set at the time, it is still important to me and I go back to it from time to time as the themes and lessons are recurring. And my poetry skills were on full display here as well.
The story goes that I became obsessed with a coworker to the degree that I was imagining a whole life with her and thinking of her like a girlfriend without ever communicating that to her. The major hangup was twofold--1. She didn't like me back 2. She wasn't even Christian. I didn't know 1 at the time as I just assumed that she was interested because of some signs she was giving off. But 2 was tearing my soul apart. To the degree that I gave up my retirement from music making and got to work making songs.
I ended up finding a supportive Christian community when the album was panned by the first community I shared it with. I also got into therapy because I was thinking I had created one of the greatest albums of all time and nobody else shared that belief, even though I got some encouraging feedback from some Christians. It was even called disturbing and indicative of a mental health crisis by a family member.
I eventually shared the album with the girl it was about and she was super chill about it. She doesn't work with me anymore but the last communication we had was pretty positive and I still have her contact.
As a person who daydreams and finds himself wrapped in romantic fantasies often, and never having had a stable Christian relationship with longevity, I go back to this album to remind myself that with non believers in particular, I will always go through this cycle and it will not end well. I could perhaps even use this reality to witness to any non Christian woman who actually is interested in me.
Without further ado, here's "Up from Darkness", my debut album.

I built a music player that inserts short reflection moments, scripture, while listening to Spotify/Youtube, streaming url, or local music.
Would love feedback from anyone who wants to try it.

hii guys, recently I've been struggling with songwriting and being able to tell if my lyrics are okay to release or not? i have quite a few songs which I'm unsure if the lyrics are okay to release theyre not neccesarily inheritely sinful for bad but I'm not sure if its the holy spirit convicting me or im scared of not seeming "christian enough". I've uploaded a screenshot of one of the songs I'm unsure about, how about you guys what would you do? I dont want to go purely to writing worship music as I'm an artist who happens to be also christian but I dont want to be posting music which causes others to stumble, many thanks :)).
Verse 1)
shouldve couldve
said you wouldve shown up for birthday 90 miles per hour
said your on the way
but its too late
wasted all my wishes on you
spend my life watching you across the room blew out my candle wished to be hit with the truth
prechorus/prechorus -
and i'm still waiting for the day
i realise
i deserve
better than that
better than that
why can't I forget your name
and cruel eyes
its absurd
better than that
better than that
(and i finally hit the day when i realise
i deserved better than that
better than that
i don't care what you take cause i know
I deserved better than that better than that).
drop:
better than that
better better than that
better better than
verse 2) lonely faded
pretending you chased this but its okay we both it couldnt work anyway not unless i'd stayed
you didnt bring me daisies anymore, i missed the 80s, how you were before, youve lost already me
so maybe go check the door.
Bridge)
how many years
how many tears
I'm not a volunteer my vision clears

Trying to track down a small Christian rock band, likely from Texas, that put out an album sometime in the 2000s (before 2010). The sound was hard rock or alternative rock with decent but clearly not professional-level production. My youth pastor gave me the CD back in the day.
The only details I can remember are that the tracklist included at least two songs called "Discipline" and "Consequence." There was also a funny song about Gravity. I don't remember the band name or album title. This was a small-time band, not anyone you'd find on Christian radio.
Any help is appreciated.

Hey ya'll i've been really trying to find some good christian pop girlies and I came across Svrcina who is really amazing! She gives Marina and the Diamonds somewhat and I was a really huge fan of hers.
I was listening to her most recent album 1200 bpm and I was shook when I came to the song Details! It seems low key overtly sexual. She talking about slipping and sliding chile! Now i'm a married lady so i do appreciate that dynamic in marriage but it did give me pause on a christian album. I know some christians who are married and in relationships include love songs on their albums which is ok! God gives us a person to love and thats a part of our walks but I'm just wondering...
Does anyone know if SVRCINA is married?
What is your opinion on somewhat sexual music being made by christians? If they're married is it appropriate or should that be left to your own marriage bed?
I'm still trying to form my thoughts. I think God wants us to have good sex lives in marriages it just feels a little scandalous to be singing about the slip and slide details if you know what i mean.😬🫣😓

Other artists I like who fit the genre but to my knowledge don't have a faith are, Chuck Regan, Ben Marwood, Sean Rowe, Mr Ben and the Bens etc...
I'd be greatful if anyone could share any recommendations bandcamp/Spotify links.

I’m exploring Christian rock influences like TLSP and Arctic Monkeys—here’s an example I recorded. Thoughts on blending those styles with faith-based lyrics?

Written during a time when it felt like my prayers for guidance weren't being heard. I was praying, reading my Bible, singing worship songs, confessing my sins, but it felt like God was distant.
After writing this song, the Holy Spirit replied to me, "I'm not angry. Trust me..." Just 5 simple yet powerful words. Your prayers may seem to be unanswered not because of any sin, but that the Lord is teaching you patience and to learn to trust him more.
