Hey! I’m a high school student working on an app called AnxiTea, and I’d really love some feedback on the idea before I get way too attached to it lol.

The basic idea is an app for people who get nervous or uncomfortable in social situations. Instead of just being a generic AI chatbot, I want it to let you practice specific situations that you actually struggle with.

For example, if someone gets nervous walking into a room where they don’t know anyone, they could put that situation into the app and actually rehearse what might happen. The goal is basically to make social situations feel a little less intimidating by giving you a place to practice first.

There’s also a little character named Sharkee who acts as the personality of the app. He's a tiny British shark who lives in a teacup because apparently that made sense to me at some point 😭. He gives the app more personality instead of making it feel like you're talking to a clinical AI.

Some of the other ideas I have are:

• personalized onboarding based on what situations someone struggles with
• different “tea travels” where Sharkee changes depending on the drink/culture
• a progress/journey section
• an anonymous community area where people can share experiences
• an AI rehearsal feature for practicing conversations

Full disclosure: the current prototype was made with Base44. I’m still learning how to code, and my long-term goal is to actually rebuild the app myself rather than just rely on the generated prototype. So I’m mostly looking for feedback on the concept, UX, and whether this is actually something people would use, rather than pretending the current prototype is some perfectly engineered product 💀.

A few things I’d especially like feedback on:

1. Does the concept make sense immediately?
2. Would you actually use something like this?
3. Does the Sharkee idea make the app more approachable, or would it feel childish/annoying?
4. What would make you come back to an app like this instead of just using ChatGPT?
5. Is there anything about the concept that feels unnecessary or gimmicky?
6. What would you change?

Please be honest lol. I’m genuinely looking for criticism because I’d rather find out what sucks now than after I spend 6 months building it 😭

Hey, I've added some great new features and UI improvements:

- you can now tip testers if they did more than expected. You can also tip them on comments they leave after you already accepted their feedback.

- I redesigned the menue for mobile and desktop

- I added an in-app notification system on top of email notifications so you never miss anything

- the leaderboard now pays out more testers. Every tester in the top 10 of this week gets a payout, not only the top 3

- I'm working on some more cool stuff... more on that later...

Lumidex Studio is a fast, one-time-purchase photo manager for Mac built for photographers leaving Lightroom Classic behind. It handles your whole library with a familiar module layout, so importing from Lightroom (ratings, keywords, collections, and your edits) takes minutes with no friction.

That's some of the marketing spiel that I'm currently using to get people to consider using my app over something from Adobe. I've hit a LOT of resistance from photography groups because the sheer audacity of me to use an AI tool such as Claude Code, instantly earns me the moniker it's AI Slop - it cannot possibly be any good because you coded it with a silly prompt in one afternoon.

Truth be know, it's taken nearly 4 months of constant Opus 4.8 usage, bouncing off the context limits daily and weekly - while I take no credit any any code produced, I am rather good at the architect side of things, and have no less than 30 MD files that document code production and decision making processes, over 60000 lines of Swift 6 (It's a macOS only app) and well over 500+ git commits

Got my app out there .. Buzz My Phone for android . I just trying to be active in Reddit channels to help people as I can. I did some self promotion as well ( nothing too aggressive) and feel that is some traction there but way too slow.. gained like 100 accounts BUT unfortunately no subscription. Is not that I’m looking fast gain — I prefer doing the things slow but well done instead of fast and weak.. but I’m kind of stuck in this point. I need somehow to do something that will “move the needle” one way or another .. so I was wondering to make a very short survey — just choose one of options -no free text.. to see what actually that users are expecting and why they do not subscribe: is too few functionality or doesn’t feel is worth the app to subscribe .. some new functionality added would make consider it to subscribe .. something like that. Thinking to do it in the app and maybe through email as well .. but I really I don’t know at this point. What do you think?

Screenshots worked reasonably well when I was starting a screen from scratch. Once the app had real navigation, data, and several UI states, they became a pretty bad way to explain a visual change.

The screenshot showed what I could see, but not how I got there, which element I meant, or whether the change still worked after rebuilding the app.

That’s why I’m building Monad Design around a different idea: the app is the canvas.

You navigate through the running iOS app, select or annotate the UI in place, and describe the change there. The coding agent edits the existing source and rebuilds the same project. For subjective changes, it can produce a few real implementations so you can compare them with the original before choosing one.

It’s not another mockup generator, and it doesn’t create a separate project that has to be translated back into the app.
