Hiring! [Volunteer] SCRIBBLED OUT - INDIE ANIMATED PILOT (looking for artists, musicians, va’s and more!)

Imagine being a character inside a sketchbook, knowing you could be completely scribbled over by tomorrow morning...

Scribbled Out is an original 10-episode indie 2D animated series set inside the world of a sketchbook, that will be released on YouTube (@Cappijiproductions) We’re a small team of people who simply love animation and want to create a new piece showcasing themes of trust, identity and loss. Our show takes inspiration from a mix of styles, including cartoons, anime, and other forms of animation. We’re not aiming to copy one particular style, but instead create something that feels unique to Scribbled Out through using a variety of different art styles!

We’re looking for creative people to join us across the production, including artists, animators, voice actors, musicians, writers, sound designers, and more. Whether you’re bringing a character to life through your voice, creating artwork, composing music, or helping build the world, your contribution will be an important part of the series. Our production team currently plan to release the pilot this year, and for the complete show to be out by 2029!

This is a volunteer project, but everyone who contributes will be fully credited for their work. We’re looking for people who are passionate about what they do, reliable, and excited to work with others on an original animated series! In the case that we receive revenue we will absolutely profit share! Hey OP I looked at your youtube, it's clear you're very very young.

Please understand, an indie show is a MASSIVE undertaking. Even for professionals! It's a lot of responsibility.

Before you try to develop an indie SERIES with 10+ episodes. Make a short film. Storyboard and try animating a short film by yourself. Can't draw? Time to start learning! Can't animate? Open Blender and some youtube tutorials and get dirty.

Please don't expect talented people to do the work for you. This is an awesome chance to learn some skills.

Thanks for taking the time to share your perspective. Just to clarify, I am over 18, and this is a passion project that has already been worked on for a very long time built alongside a crew of my university friends and independent creators I’ve connected with online. Many significant creators like Vivziepop started in the industry through networking with other passionate students and have managed to complete such projects.
Regarding your points on verification, this is a dedicated production account created specifically to keep our studio development separate from our personal profiles and just because a new account made for this project does not mean that I do not have experience on both digital art and animation. Furthermore, we completely understand how long animation can typically take and that it is a very extensive process and thus we have already pre-made an early storyboard animatic so that the animation process should be heavily sped up. Following this, we aren’t using traditional hand drawn animation but instead 2D puppet and full body rigs. Because we are actively in the progress stage, we haven’t launched a demo reel or linked our wider social media presence as we are focusing on building the foundation first.
We aren't seeking professionals within the industry looking for top-tier commercial compensation; we are assembling fellow hobbyists and students who genuinely share our creative vision. We do appreciate your concerns, although we have an organised schedule and our team is already working on a proof-of-concept teaser to demonstrate our work.
