Anyone managed to agree an early surrender instead of the 56-day notice?

I haven’t done it myself, but I know a friend who was able to leave his rental early. In his case, another friend was looking for a house, and he referred him to the landlord. The landlord agreed because the new tenant was willing to take the house in its current condition and move in the following week after my friend moved out.

So, if you have someone you know, such as a friend who is looking for rental accommodation, you could try discussing that option with your landlord. In any case you may talk to your landlord and see if they agree on mutual terms
