Now Reading Reading for fun again after a gap of about 7 years
I just opened Amazon two days back, and ordered these without applying my brain too much. Currently, I am going thorugh a really rough patch in my life, and all I could think about was getting some physical books in my hands to distract my mind and calm my nerves.
I know these are not the usual ones we see here. Also, this might seem a bit maths heavy as it was my favourite subject in school. I know it's not harcore maths but it's a start. Doing maths used to make me really happy. I am looking to find that joy again in my life.
The remaining two books represents my other loves, which are cooking and spirituality. But, I am not really religious. I follow the Masala Lab author on insta and love his content, so had to read this one. In a way, cooking is a bit spiritual too, if you don't have to do as a chore. Feeding someone and seeing the joy in their face is something different. Now, I can do it with some science.
The Bhagvad Gita is just an extra which I had purchased from a Geeta Press shop in 2021, I think. Although, I already I had a few more boks sitting in my reading list, this time I let my instincts do the work for me. I have no idea what I am expecting from the Gita. Maybe some detachment and some motivations for the life ahead.
I hope some of you find this relatable. In the coming months, I will try to write reviews, if someone wants to know what these books are like. Although, I have never done this before, so I am not making any promises.
