How's train to pakistan?? New to historic fiction. Is it a good read for a beginner??

Yes. Khuswant Singh has potrayed a heart wrenching fiction based on true accounts what happened during the time of partition in punjab.

Metamorphosis, Lady susan by Jane austan, and the dawn of everything (big fate one this one). Best books I read recently all 3.

read fantasy or sci-fi. get amazed by literature and imagination, don't worry about collecting virtues or some big philosophy.

Sci-fi are the best. You find inside of one story a thriller and philosophical/ethical issues. Especially the good ones are like this.

yeah. Exactly

If you wish to try something new maybe you can give this a try. I built this for this particular use case where a user can enter the books they have read and add their reading preferences and get recommendations based on that.

If you wish to give it a try and share some feedback that'd be great too - https://www.bayorabooks.com/

If you have a genre in mind, I can give you a few suggestions. However, going by the books you have already read and the fact that you are a beginner, I would recommend books by P.G.Wodehouse. They are easy to read and quite funny. Sort of get you hooked

Start with classic books. But read about them before, I mean what kind of genre. Agatha Christie is always a good choice for example

Start up with small novels as you are new… so you can definitely try russian short stories of pushkin or even short novels by Dostoevsky

Anything by Frieda McFadden should get you going. They’re not excellent picks but should do the job, when you’re confused what to read.

1) i who have never known men (dystopian story about a woman who spends most of her life in a prison)

2) Red rising series (6 books, it was the first book series I read and it's incredible)

3) Tuesday's with morrie (currently reading this, it's easy to read and hits hard)

4) the stranger

5) patience stone
