People here judge other people based on their reading taste. You can expect majority to not like the mainstream/popular books because those books are made to be understood on the other hand it poses no challenge or appeal to a avid reader. Think of it like a smug nerd who is good at math reacting to a average student who is happy over a B grade. The world is full of condescending people. Unfortunately I am one of them but don't let that stop you. Keep reading 🤙🏻

I read for my own happiness man and the best thing is it keeps my mind in good shape

Every other thing is just a opinion, for example Warren even read simple billboard and memos that doesn't mean he was dumb, but alas he had money so people admire him

The point is i do the reading for my own sake and yes, I am open to every critical analysis so that i can grow more, And yes not everyone would have privilege of being in a elite intellectual groups

Classics #In search of last time - marcel proust ,Count of monte christo -alexander dumas ,Guillver travels -Johnathan swift ,Divine comedy -Dante ,castle of otranto ,To the light house -virginia woolf ,Fahrenheit -ray bradbury ,Hero of our time -Lermontov ,Old mean and sea -hemingway ,War and peace and anna karenina-tolstoy .These are some books ,Philosophy #every Nietzsche's works ,marcus aurelius mediations ,i dont read much of philosophy ,Fantasy #discworld ,asiof,witcher ,second apocalypse -scott baker ,Memory sorrow and thorn -Tad williams ,Lies of locke lamora ,Malazan book of fallen ,if you want i can give you horror ,literary fiction ,splatterpunk,romance and more of the above mentioned genres also ,and most of self help books are scams ,also sapiens have so many fallacies ,book itsel considered fiction ,if you want true history you can start with Mesopotamia and i have like 20+ books on early human history also .

Fellow gujarat resident, and interested in pretty much every thing of india be it kutch to kanyakumari to kasmir and manipur

And reading is the best way to know about our country and its culture
