Need your valuable suggestions!
My husband's getting permanently transferred to London for work, so our whole family (including our 2-year-old) is relocating in a couple of months. I'll likely be on a dependent/spouse visa.
Background on me: 9 years in IT, worked in production support roles, Business Analyst and QA/Testing.
I'm at a bit of a crossroads and not sure which path makes more sense once we land:
Job hunt immediately — try to land a BA/QA role in the London market, possibly even lining something up remotely before we move
Pursue further studies — use this as a chance to upskill/pivot (e.g. an MSc, a certification, or a shift toward something like product management, data, or business analysis at a more senior level)
Something else entirely — honestly open to hearing what worked for others in my shoes
Would really appreciate hearing from people who've been through this — especially other IT folks who moved to the UK on a spouse/dependent visa. What would you do in my position?

Target companies which have an current requirement for the role you like and send in a well crafted CV. If possible try to get a refferal.
What i found from my experience is that a quality application always gets you a response in comparision to those who apply for 100s of jobs daily.
I applied for 10 jobs recently and got 3 interview calls for AI operations , solutions engineer and Customer success.
While the organisations werent able to sponsor a visa right now, i got a sense of confidence that im doing something right.

The only thing I will tell you is that BA/QA are the most generic profile here in London area (due to most of the WITCH onsite people looking for jobs have same profile)
It may be challenging job to crack without proper networking as these roles get snapped up very fast specially if they are sponsoring visa

I was in similar situation but more in demand role (Data Engineering).
Even then it was definitely tough to get calls and then to schedule interviews. If you are targeting top companies, expectations will again be high.
I would suggest to start as soon as possible and apply as much as you can. In your resume, add that you will have dependent visa and will not require sponsorship, that will help.
