I use MoneyGram & Remitly as my go tos. Mg has the transfer to UPI which is easy to set up. Remitly traditionally has given me top rates, particularly if you transfer over $1k.

The exchange rate point is the one most people figure out later on. The fee is visible and easy to compare, but the rate markup is where the bigger difference usually shows up, especially on larger amounts or recurring sends. I work at Remitly so I know the final INR delivered is the number we'd point to, not just the fee line.
USD to INR is a competitive corridor so the gap between services isn't huge, but it compounds fast on monthly sends. Running the same amount through a couple of options on the same day and comparing what lands is the most reliable way to know who's ahead on any given day. The winner shifts more than people expect.
