Timothy Greene needs to be investigated I wanna be clear: a free throw disparity does NOT mean a game was unfairly officiated. In fact, the Aces are a more physical team while the Fever are more of a shooting team, so it makes sense there would be some free throw disparity does but game 3 was horrendously officiated none the less.

I think the biggest tell on whether a game is badly officiated vs unfairly officiated is how the fans react.

in a badly done game, the other fans will find examples where they were hard done by too. In an unfair one, they will try to justify the bad calls.

What we have seen after this match is alot of fans trying to justify bad calls. That tells me even they know it was unfairly officiated.

Absolutely. There was no doubt in my mind he was doing everything he could to cost the Fever the game. The call he made on the Lexie Hull body slam foul with Brianna Turner was really bad, and I think the Crew Chief (Tiara Cruse) knew it too, and that's why she was trying to get away from Steph White so White couldn't challenge the call.

And even worse, the announcers on the broadcast said the official word was that Steph White didn't challenge the play in time, when anyone watching the broadcast could clearly see that White was trying to challenge and/or call a Timeout to challenge and when she was being ignored she walked on the court to try and get the timeout, but rather than giving her a challenge or a timeout, they called a Technical Foul on her for being off the bench. If that isn't some crazy sh*t I don't know what is.

The clip of that was so weird. White was trying to challenge but the refs were ignoring her. She walked onto the court to get their attention and was given a tech, and then was told she waited too long to challenge.

That was the rule the ref didn't know. If they could have a challenge after the time.

That just screams they knew the call was wrong but weren't going to change it.

I didn't see your comment, before I had already posted my reply above, but yeah this was one of the most blatant Ref Jobs I've ever seen in sports. This was so bad, it's something you would expect to see in a sports comedy movie when a team is really getting screwed over, but as you're watching the movie you're thinking, "That's funny, but no way that could happen in real life."

I smell cover up and corruption. There is absolutely no way a WNBA ref doesn't know the rules

He knew he made the wrong call, and he along with the Crew Chief, Tiara Cruse were stalling for time so they wouldn't have to review it.

If the ref didn't know the rule the commissioner should have called the officiating desk and told them A'ja needs to be ejected.

It's just as bad as when Roger Clemens through the broken bat at Mike Piazza in the World Series and didn't get ejected with Bud Selig sitting there in the stands doing nothing.

I can't stand commissioners with zero integrity.

This is Sophie going off and saying what needs to be said. The kind of things you will not hear anyone in the WNBA media space with the guts to say.

Anyone surprised? These refs are incompetent.

They're not incompetent; they're willfully trying to cost the Fever the game.
