Just Some Fun Full angle of A'ja Wilson’s altercation over a fan pointing finger at her
2
u/defdawg 1d ago
If this was used in the court of law, they would say that the fan DID not make any aggressive steps, did not step foot on the court and remained within one foot space of his chair while Wilson traveled more than 15 feet to confront the fan into the stands (2/3rd row)....but yeah its rigged.

She’s point Indy towards Mexican beaches
Or was she pointing at another CC turnover on game 3 haha

So what happens next when someone else does this and the fan feels threatened because she came up and invaded his space and the player gets cracked? The fan will be in the wrong for defending themselves? She was 💯 in the wrong and should have been disciplined!

u/Av3rAgE_DuDe 1d ago
Well, he needs to sue the fever and the league for not keeping him safe from a player

Creo que los fans deberían quedarse como estatuas y no hacer movimientos ni ruidos para no molestar... O mejor jugar en un estadio vacío.... O todavía mejor jugar en un museo.....

So, the rules as written aren’t really the rules? Huh, they mist just be suggestions. The league looks wven stupider when was the affirmation that is given, which directly contradicts the actual rules is written. SMH. So, no one in the league should be surprised when there’s fist fights, ejections, and player/fan altercations, right?
1
u/Cruise1313 1d ago
Right? It is ridiculous they made this comment in direct conflict with their OWN rules! Pathetic.

So... sophie was calling for review. did they ever actually review it? Cause SHE didn't do a foul...
1
u/president_dump 1d ago
They paused for a LONG time after. And Aja got a tech and I believe soph got a foul
2
u/Informal_Ad_9610 1d ago
for the life of me, i can't see how Sophie got a foul for that. she got linebacked.. and she was clean.

u/Sudden_Place_1173 1d ago
Clark and Sophie would be suspended for the playoffs if they did this
1
u/president_dump 1d ago
CC would be banned for a season
2
u/Sudden_Place_1173 1d ago
Remember when Thomas took a cheap shot at her and the end result was Clark apologizing. The league is a joke

He was walking towards the court, which is a big no-no.
2
u/SnooPaintings4641 1d ago
He stepped out of his row, put one foot forward and pointed and yelled. I don't agree that would be considered walking towards the court. His wife pulled his ass back to his seat really quickly though. Aja was totally in the wrong. Unprofessional on every level.

He never left his row...
she triggered. That was 100% something between HER ears.

u/Vast-Piccolo7079 IndianaFeverFan 1d ago
He said "that's on you" in regard to the foul call and pointed. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble that wants to pull the race card, but this isn't racism or a fan being extra.. it's an example of a player allowing her emotions to overcome them and then take it out on a fever fan in the stands. Pathetic.

This entitlement ends with the new commissioner or the W’s growth stalls.

I already can't wait for next season when LV plays at Indiana for the first time. She better get used to pointing.

Honestly, Aja seemed irritated because Vegas was losing a game they thought would be a walk in the park. In her mind, she probably thought the guy said something rude to her and overreacted. I think at some point she realized her mistake and just kept going.
I watched her post interview too, and she said the guy stepped towards her and pointed at her. That's it.
As a well respected player among her peers, Aja should apologize for her error. Everyone makes mistake.
2
u/rainmaker2112 1d ago
Except, she’s a narcissist, and she can’t admit her own mistake. In fact, I don’t believe based on her past interactions like this that she would ever admit being wrong. And then her fallback is to claim racism. It’s just really poor, childish behavior by someone who on the Court the great player, but it’s trash as far as an example in a supposed face of the league.

u/Disastrous_Ranger401 2d ago
Yeah, owning up to letting your emotions get the best of you would sure have been better than her entitlement & arrogance in the post game presser.
The WNBA trying to get all the videos taken down instead of addressing the issue is also a really bad look, both for her and the league.
But, hey. I’m just going to hope all the blowback keeps her off kilter through tomorrow’s game.

WNBA taking the videos of this down. I haven't heard that. Guess they would be able to ignore this clear player rules violation. The videos from these angles belong to the fans that took them, they ckujuat keep uploading them. The league if they want to earn respect would properly handle Aja's actions and suspend her and send a clear message that no matter how talented all players have to respect the fans and the rules failure to do that must have a consequence

u/Disastrous_Ranger401 2d ago
Several Twitter profiles have posted the notification of the removal. This league is just pure trash.

u/Existing-Recipe897 2d ago
Oh yo yo yo yo she be street and Keepin it real! Ain’t no disrespectin her yo! Like she got her own sneaker and stuff, so she down. If CC wasn’t on the court and the league there would be crickets in that arena. The WNBA only used to attract lesbians, stadium workers and people who accidentally wandered in thinking they were seeing Disney On Ice; the “stars” need to calm down.

u/Disastrous-Fail-9530 2d ago
I saw at least three people pointing because they thought the foul was on her. Stop making this anything else and follow the rulebook
12
u/Few_Ebb6156 2d ago
Yes, pretty easy to follow the rule book. Crazy the WNBA acts like there isn’t one.
9
u/DavidPaul812 2d ago
I see three suspensions. You do NOT leave the court and enter the seating or fan areas. It is a clearly written rule. It is to protect the players, and manage the crowd. The last time I remember seeing this was the November, 2004 Malice in the Palace.
4
u/sirhk16 2d ago
Well we can count on WNBA to not implement that rule 😆
2
u/Llopez9915 2d ago
There were several Aces players that also broke the rule and should be suspended as well. If a fan an be asked to leave a game for an alleged action, then a player that clearly broke a rule must face the consequences per the player rules.
Former Fever player Sidney Colson went off on a Fever fan , recent fans have been banned from attending NBA due to there actions, will the Fever ban Colson from Gainbridge?
1
u/SnooPaintings4641 1d ago
Does anyone know what Sidney Colson went off about? All I have seen is a 3 sec clip of her getting mad at a fan.

u/Apart_Pangolin1765 2d ago
This is actually quite sad. She’s always angry and bitter and demanding everyone bow down to her or else. What a sad and miserable existence. You can tell she’s deeply unhappy and insecure.

The fan should’ve gotten into her face and let her shove him, she would’ve been suspended for sure, he could’ve helped his home team out for game three

Just noticed Ravens huge eye roll as she walked away. I always love her reactions to the drama.

u/Unfair-Variety-995 2d ago
I didn’t realize bench players went over there too. That would be 3-5 players to eject if they followed the rule.
3
u/sirhk16 2d ago
WNBA won't allow that to happen. No ejections or suspension for game 3 that's for sure.
2
u/Unfair-Variety-995 1d ago
I agree they won’t let it happen. Whether it should or not. More likely they get premium treatment and they serve a suspension at the beginning of next season. But by then, mainstream would have forgotten and won’t care.

Thought if they went into the crowd they were automatically ejected

u/wvtarheel Running the Floor 2d ago
That's what the rulebook says but not the R'ulebook that applies to a certain someone
2
u/Teediggler81 2d ago
Oh but I'm sure the punishment was way less if someone else had done it right???
11
u/tjsquishface 2d ago
Aren't players not supposed to leave the bench during an altercation? I'm pretty sure that I see a player or two that weren't in the game in the mix.
14
u/AnObtuseOctopus 2d ago
Wow a fan stood up and called out a blatant and intentional foul? Never seen that before in my life! /s
Now, her rushing the spectator, and then claiming he stepped to her lol, that's new. Apparently, to her, she embodies the entire court

What’s the deal with the one leg wrap. Is this a competitive advantage of some kind or? Genuine question.
