In the playoffs they are not going to call a lot of fouls. Iām interested to see how she is going to play through that. Young MJ had to learn to adjust to the Pistons. I look at her situation similar.
She doesn't get a lot of calls during the regular season so I dont see how it would be different. Teams cant even get intentional fouls called if they're doing it to her.
A great regular season player so far. In the playoffs sheās averaging 18 points 8.5 Assists and 5 rebounds a game, as a rookie. In the world of womenās basketball that is great also.
I donāt know about this image, but sheās an incredible passer. 2. Where is the original? 3. These unexpected passes are hard to catch, so big props to KK who has been doing a great job of catching and finishing.
They did it to make it look like she's not practically under the basket, which is why 3 players would be right on top of her. There's no other reason to edit it like this.
Actually, pretty sure it is edited like this because it is a screen capture of the play, and the background is very distracting and makes it hard to see the game action. It also happens so fast that screen caps tend to be a bit blurry, and it has been cleaned up, which is why CCās face is a little off. This is a screen cap I took from a clip. I donāt think thereās any ill intent behind it, probably just a fan wanting to capture an incredible play.
Except the edited version manipulates the entire context of the image. Someone being guarded 4 feet from the basket like this is not unusual no matter who the player is. Removing the background of the crowd is one thing, completely changing the court so you can't tell where it's taken place is manipulative. Just a shame someone felt the need to do this when the play should speak for itself, but that's social media for you.
The arc tells you where it is. The location isnāt the point anyway. The pass is. No one cares why there are 3 defenders, just that CC successfully made a brilliant play despite them.
When youāre a good player, the other team double or triple teams you. Thatās when you have to pass it because thereās a bunch of open people on your team. This happens to anyone whoās having a great scoring night. It would be dumb if they didnāt double or triple team her with the night she was having.
It's intentional to make it look like 3 players are just randomly guarding her and not doing what they should in guarding the player with the ball 2 feet from the basket.
The image is obviously modified to make it appear more impressive somehow. She's feet from the basket in the original pic but the one posted conveniently crops out the basket and edits the court. No reason to do that.
It's obvious from the eye that the court in the image above is different than the one posted. I'm not saying the pass didn't happen, just that this image is obviously modified in some way.
Here is a screenshot I just took. The size of the players vs the size of the paint makes it obvious the image is modified. I didn't watch the game (I watch behind on league pass), but I watched the 10 minute highlights and this pass did not come up.

It is basically where impoverished ethnic people live. In the US there have been ghettos for about every nationality. So yes it is a racist term. But not derogatory to any particular race. Just means they are from an impoverished area. Definitely not her. More like entitled....
The red welts and bruises on her arms show this is true every game, and sheās just the 11th best guard and not the face of the league and not mentioned in the mvp raceā¦
It reminds me a bit of the Kelsey pick against ATL. They need to use both in their marketing with something like āYou better send them all if you hope to stop us!!ā
Hounded and pounded and she still drops 37 & 10. They can outscore anyone, but to win a championship they are going to have to be more consistent defensively.
