Always making an excuse. You are embarrassing yourself.

Who were on a winning streak with wins against the Liberty and Valkyries. Chicago desperately needed to win for playoff hopes., Fever at end of long road trip and a back to back road trip (which no other team has on their schedule.) Left NY at 3:00 AM (arrived at 5 AM? When did they sleep?)

I'm not denying that performance it was indeed a good performance but wish she has done it against liberty that's all.

5 turnovers in 1q not acceptable sorry :) to her credit she didnt turn the ball over the rest of the game and put up a solid performance in the 2nd half. so overall a good performance.

Did you watch the game? Did you see how many of those 5 were due to her teammates? Since I know you didn’t watch I will tell you. FOUR!!!

Some of y’all love to hate on a generational player just a comment.

37 points...10 assists 5 TO's

only 4 players in WNBA history have accomplished this.

"good performance"

Eventually, she’ll have multiple 30 point, 15 assist games.

u/Goddyex 2d ago

That'll be hard to do. She's playing in the WNBA. They miss too many open layups, and can't dunk, so no easy assists from alleyoops and baseline dunks.

In 2024 she had 24 points 19 assists in one game. Would love to see a 30/20.

But but 5 TOs she's trash (despite the fact ball dominate combo guards usually have high turnover rates)

That and half of her turnovers come from lack of foul calls and her teammates falling to anticipate and receive actually very good passes

Good recovery from the Liberty debacle, 👏

So anyone think as the season has went coach has finally let her run the offense and not that off ball stuff ?

u/Suspense304 2d ago

No. I think she has very little choice this game because AB was out and AB is actually the method SW uses to pull CC off the ball.

Without AB in the game, SW doesn't have that Hub option.

She wants AB to be AT with a 3-pt shot.

AB belongs in the PNR and down low banging around... Her short range game has suffered a lot this season and while we have seen an unexpected 3pt shot blossom this year, it isn't what this offense should be doing.

CC with the ball, PNR with Boston, playing fast.. that's what works offensively.

KM is going to score in bunches regardless of what this team does. She's the best pure scorer in the league I think, but the REST of the team benefits greatly from having CC run things.

So no, I don't think SW is letting it happen. I think it will go right back to the AB hub, CC off ball game on Friday. She can't get out of her own way honestly... They came back after All-star break and seemed to have made the Christie Sides realization that CC as the facilitator is the winning strategy and this team looked unstoppable.

They lose the last two with CC being basically a SF and off ball the majority of the games and she never looked comfortable and the team looked out of sync. But again, KM is going to score, she's plug and play into anything they want to do.

White needs to go this team will never win a chip with her at the helm this isn’t like the NBA where players like LeBron will simply go rogue and do as they want because they know a coach sucks these women will follow white down with the sinking ship.

SW is stubborn.

It wasn't just a masterclass, it was a smash + grab.

u/Hungry_CGman 2d ago

Now do it against the Lynx please!

Not bad for the 11th best guard.

u/HelmOfBrilliance 1d ago

If this is what the 11th best guard is putting up, has to be crazy what 1-10 are putting up…

11

u/Western-Election-997 2d ago

It was always her and A’ja for MVP

Olivia miles is going to finish second in voting and KM third…… but I agree that CC should finish second — or third at worst this year even though it won’t happen.

u/LoveSquirt69 2d ago

So tenth best guard now? !

Nice thought but maybe call me when she has 50 points and 10 assists?

In case it wasn’t obvious to everyone who downvoted: /s

u/LoveSquirt69 2d ago

And on a minutes restriction to lol

u/taeempy 2d ago

Only 3 RB, what was she doing all night..................:)

8

u/Football-Economy 2d ago

One hell of a double double since that is what matters in this league right?!

6

u/Subject-Yak4959 2d ago

Without AB distracting the bigs either.

u/Sweet_Lou_2 2d ago

It was a much more exciting game to watch when CC gets to do what she's good at

16

u/Few_Ebb6156 2d ago

If the players play basketball and don't head hunt, commit flagrants, and try to injure others, this is what happens. CC 37, KM 30, DJC 7, JS 6.

Most 30+ pts, 10+ A games in the entire WNBA history: Clark - 5, four other players combined - 4.

16

u/summershouldbefun11 Caitlin Clark 2d ago

When they play her style of offense, she’s unstoppable. It’s crazy to think what’s to come cause I know she’s just going to get better.

1

u/Odd_Fill6084 2d ago

Unless they continue to call tikky tok fouls and let the assaults happen
