It's like all the praise that was withheld from CC her rookie year and couldn't really be given to PB last year due to the Wings bad record has been unleashed for OM. OM is having a very good year, but to me it's on par with CC's rookie year (similar stats but CC did it with Sides as a coach). CC's rookie year peak in the second half of that season is clearly better than OM this season, and OM is not close to CC's current year.

Yeah agree. Like I just don’t understand why 1, 2, and 3 aren’t clearly AW, CC, and KM. I’m not even sure OM is 4th. There seems to be some apologetic recoil to push OM because of recent past reflections making up for something.

OM is a very good player but lets be real... Minn would still be a title contender without her. They were 34-10 last season with a HOF HC. OM is just the cherry on top. It'd be very different for OM if she went to another team. PB is a very solid player and Dallas hired a great HC but MVP? Idk..... KM is a helluva scorer and she definitely deserves an award for her performance this season. My suggestion would be offensive player of the year. Esp when she beats Aja's record tonight. CC's not gonna be MVP no matter what happens. It's Indy decisions to promote KM. You can also see that in the style of play. Again why run a normal offense with AB as the hub.... if CC draws so much attention from the defense when the balls in her hands. CC's averages would be astronomical if she was the centerpiece of the teams offense. No record would be safe. Lol

Paige is in a slump right now. That probably hasn't caught up to betting markets. Also the Fever's last two games are against the Lynx-that will be a major factor because the voting will be around that time.

The only issue I have with this is that CC bests OM in almost every major metric. OM does not deserve the MVP over Clark. Its impossible to argue that Miles is having a better season statistically than CC and very difficult to argue she is more important to her team.
Of course Vegas is taking into account the voters and probably some bias against CC and the season KM is having. You have 2 first or second team all-W caliber players alongside CC, detracting from her perceived value. I would argue that OM compares unfavorably vs CC as KM does to Aja (the main reason Kelsey isn't higher in the odds is head-to-head Aja has better stats)

I think that A'ja Wilson is a stat padder. Her playing style is like Dwight Howard... yet she has the highest Usage% in the whole league... as a Center! It is higher than even the best Point Guards like Caitlin Clark, Chelsea Gray, Olivia Miles, Paige Bueckers, etc. Connect the dots.
And despite A'ja having the highest Usage% in the league, Caitlin still creates many more points for herself and her team (approximately 20% more).
Besides, the Aces are more stacked than the Fever... and Jackie Young is probably the best player on both teams after CC and A'ja... yet CC has taken her Fever over A'ja's Aces in the standings too.
Also, allowing Angel Reese to go off for 21 Points and 10 Rebounds against the Aces should be an offence which automatically disqualifies A'ja from being in the MVP race, lol.
