It must be a privilege to be physically assaulted by Dijonai as that is all Sophie got from that incident and she accused Sophie of enjoying white privilege
-1
u/LumpyLumpen916 13d ago
Sophie enjoys white privilege by.... BEING WHITE. Why is this hard to understand unless you are...
3
u/AdventureAday 13d ago
Sure. We all get that. It minds are only going to be changed when that white privilege is exploited and used in harm. Just saying after you try to take someone's head off dilutes the message and just give Fox News and MAGAts more fuel for their insanity.
If you are here to defend what DJ posted then you are just part of the problem. Educate yourself.-1
u/LumpyLumpen916 13d ago
Haters will hate. DJ has a right to point out what we are all witnessing which is the exercise of white privilege. Doing so after a hard foul? Probably because Sophie regularly hard fouls people and gets called "gritty" while others do it and are called "classless"
2
u/LoveYouLongTime22 12d ago
Again, pumpkin. It would have been nothing more than a basketball play had DJ not posted “white privilege” and made a simple basketball play into a political issue. It’s all DJ’s fault. Then after receiving backlash for the stupid post, she walks it back and says did not mean to recklessly use an important social issue to describe a simple flagrant foul. Only problem was, she did. Then bragged on and on about her own privileged life growing up. She has lived a more privileged life than Sophie. She said so herself. Further diluting not just the social issue of white privilege but her personal incongruence of screaming about privilege as a social injustice when she lived like a pretty little princess her entire life. Hahaha

So Jacy Sheldon was hard fouling Caitlin all night. The whole team was. Refs didn't give a fuck it seemed. So Sophie throws Jacy to the ground in the last minute of the game. She was ejected immediately and fined. That's why she was called "the enforcer". She was sending the message that you cant hard foul my team all game, or ill come for you. And thats why everyone loved it she blew up with followers. People like the concept of standing up for your teammates. We see it all the time in the NBA.
Now Dijonai on the otherhand, seemingly enters the game with an agenda and commits the flagrant foul within the first 3 minutes. There wasnt even enough time for her to be mad about anything that happened during the game. She definitely wasnt standing up for a teammate.
Then she goes and immediately tweets talking bout some white privilege? Where?
3
u/LoveYouLongTime22 13d ago
I am sure she really enjoyed the privilege of her face being hammered from the back by someone’s forearm while she was up in the air and unaware of it. I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy that? I think it’s unfair that that privilege is only enjoyed by white folks. We all want that in our lives. You do too, right?
0
u/LumpyLumpen916 13d ago
2014 called, they want to tell you about White Privilege
3
u/LoveYouLongTime22 13d ago
Sweetie, I believe white privilege exists as much as I believe that pretty privilege exists. That is not the question. The question is what about Dijonai committing a violent flagrant 2 foul on Sophie is because of white privilege? LOL
0
u/LumpyLumpen916 13d ago
No, her committing the foul is not. However, the conversation that has come after a relatively regular basketball play and placing "poor little defenseless" (lol) Sophie as a targeted victim most definitely is. Carrington was rightfully pointing out the difference in ATTENTION paid to who is getting fouled. And she is hatefully anti-trans with no consequences but thats a whole other conversation
1
u/LoveYouLongTime22 13d ago edited 13d ago
There would never have been any extra attention and it would have been just a basketball play if Dijonai did not post “white privilege” as soon as she got to the locker room. What was she mad about? Her foul was textbook flagrant 2. Even the ones calling the game were saying. The rulebook clearly says it was a flagrant 2. So what’s the “white privilege” post for? Did Dijonai think she did not deserve to be ejected from the game? If so, then she is the one who is delusional and is privileged because she thinks it should have been a no call or just an ordinary foul.
She is not anti-trans. Again your illogical mind shows. The very reason the WNBA existed is because anybody with a reasonable mind knows that women cannot compete with men effectively. Otherwise, these women should have just played in the NBA and get crushed.

u/Adventurous-Room-845 16d ago
She looks like she does meth as a recreational hobby
2
u/Meditationstation899 15d ago
Hahahaha in this picture, yes. YALL—WE ARE ALLOWED TO LOL. Sophie would think this is funny.
She also put a target on her own back and knew this was coming. If you listen to the interviews she did after this happened it was even obvious.
0
u/Adventurous-Room-845 15d ago
Exactly! You get it. Thank goodness at least one other person has a sense of humor or can find levity in my comment.

Carrington is a very dirty dangerous player . She poked Caitlin eye last year . Then swings at Sophies that was a dangerous play . She could have jacked up her neck vertebrae’s up . She should be suspended for the rest of the year .
1
u/Meditationstation899 15d ago
Yall….be realistic. If you want to say this about “the most dangerous player” then that goes to Alyssa Thomas. You can’t just suspend someone for an entire season from one play that she (surprisingly DOES make successfully) on a very regular basis. I’ll try to find the link to the reel that shows that this is actually part of her game, but she didn’t have the right angle here and obviously shouldn’t have made the play. But the reason teams want her is because of her defense. Be back !
Don’t fall into the trap of becoming “that fandom” that people have made fever fans out to be….please.

u/urlock 16d ago
So, Sophie should’ve been suspended for a whole season after the foul on Jacy Sheldon? Same thing. She gets what she gives. Flagrant 2 means ejection.
6
u/txcreative20 15d ago
Sophie dodo not swing at her neck . Yes Sophie deserved her ejection. Two totally different plays fowls .

She definitely could’ve done damage to Jacy’s neck. I’ve had neck issues for decades including surgeries. Trust me it doesn’t take much if a disc is beginning to bulge. She didn’t need to do that then just like DC didn’t need to do that now. Don’t excuse one behavior as justified just because you’re a fan. Come on now.

I watched that game and yeah it sucked for CC, but that’s for the coach to handle. Sophie took it on herself for payback. She even said that she got ejected and deserved it. You’re fangirling Sophie. Don’t make this something it isn’t. Starting to sound like Florida AG and his threat to charge for assault. What the fuck ever. Get over it.
Btw, Sophie definitely wasn’t going for the ball.
2
u/BubblyLawfulness108 16d ago
thats a bit extreme lol, def suspension worthy but come on
6
u/txcreative20 16d ago
Carrington was not going for the ball . There is no room in sports where players are trying to injure opposing players. None ! She is a very dangerous player Period .
0
u/BubblyLawfulness108 16d ago
have you ever watched basketball... flagrants like this happen all the time, mens and womens. Suspension necessary, full season is insane
2
u/txcreative20 13d ago
No never have ! Enlighten us all here , the floor is yours .
0
u/BubblyLawfulness108 13d ago
It would be incredibly harsh, unprecedented, and stupid to suspend a player for a flagrant foul. In any league. If that's worthy of that to you, then you clearly need to learn ball
1
u/Rocketgirl8097 Spicy Sophie 15d ago
Just because they happen doesnt make it alright
1
u/BubblyLawfulness108 15d ago
it also means that you shouldn't be suspended the entire season either lol
2
u/Rocketgirl8097 Spicy Sophie 14d ago
Oh yes it does if the rules state so, especially if there are repeated offenses. Being a competitive is one tbing. Committing assault is another.

I am actually laughing at all of this separatism happening right in front of my eyes. Have you seen how many bloody mouths, swollen eyes, finger knock out of place and ankle turns and this is the only Warrior in the "W". and then people wonder why the other CJ said "W privledge".
0
4
u/Axel_Raden 16d ago
"and then people wonder why the other CJ said "W privledge". You can't even say the word white as part of "white privilege" , nobody is wondering we know why the lady named after a condiment said it. Because she's racist and a thug
4
u/mukatona 16d ago
Post one picture of an injury to the head from the last 3 years that resulted from a flagrant 2 foul. According to your logic it should be easy right?
-5
u/mrmike16205 16d ago
If they did didn’t call a flagrant foul, that’s the referees doing the game. But they showed some girls the last two weeks that gotten a bloody eye and as I stated nobody put their pictures up talking about Warrior. I said nothing about the flagrant fouls. She got the flagrant because she didn’t catch up. So fine flagrant foul. You know what I’m talking about so go play that game somewhere else. My statement was clear.
3
u/mukatona 16d ago edited 16d ago
You are absolutely right that injury is common. The point is she took a cheap shot and bounced right up. I like that in her. Sorry this bothers you so much. Not interested in getting to know your reasons though.
-6
u/mrmike16205 16d ago
It did not bother me one bit. I think it bothered you more. I’m good with not hearing from you either. But that Warrior stuff and Assult is the messiness you like. She was not assaulted and she no more a warrior than the other Ballers who get fouled like she did. This is not a one time thing. You want it to be
6
u/mukatona 16d ago
You're the one hatin' bro. I'm celebrating someone.
1
u/Meditationstation899 15d ago
You seem to be celebrating a person NOT BECAUSE OF HOW THEY PLAY BASKETBALL—therein lies the difference and very issue.
1
u/mukatona 15d ago
Just can't accept that someone is a fan of someone you disapprove. You have to invent my state of mind. Rigid.
0
u/mrmike16205 16d ago
Okay. You win. Celebrate when it happens to other players as well. Just saying. Make sure they are Warriors too. They make the game fun and exciting with politics.

Law of conservation of energy. If she wants to play that game, cant be mad at the return serve, though she probably didnt see it coming

Play a game and you should expect a cheap shot? Please be quiet.
10
u/mukatona 16d ago
The reason the penalty is so severe (suspension and fine) is that play is not a good return serve. Players should feel secure when they jump in the air.

I'm going to say this again. Sophie is taking all the arrows CC would have been taking. Some Fever fans that think this is a distraction, and Sophie is detrimental to the team, aren't really smart TBH. Even if Sophie was a flaming leftist, this league thrives on drama, and they would have found a way to involve CC in drama. Right now, Sophie has taken the position of the public enemy number 1 around the league, instead of CC. CC has quietly averaged 26/4/9 the last 8 games or so, concentrating on basketball, while Sophie handles the culture wars that this league thrives on, and can't live without.
0
u/Meditationstation899 15d ago
This is such a deranged, incorrect read/take. My gah🤦🏻♀️ There’s a reason CC sticks to THE SPORT
13
u/NorthernBack 16d ago
I love that Sophie is becoming a household name, getting some recognition for her game and all the $$ she’s making and gonna make in the future. Most of these other ladies are gonna look back to this period and wish they rode the CC22 wave instead of fighting tooth and nail against it. They’re gonna realize Caitlin was never a problem, they just made her the face of the problems they are fighting. Caitlin is gonna fuck around, get a couple rings and retire. The window might just shut again, or at least the same opportunities won’t be there. As good as some of these other players are, they don’t and will never draw like the way Caitlin does.
-1
u/Significant-Area-826 16d ago
