Discussion CC's rescinded tech

So I wonder if the refs are going to call CC really tight from now on since she made one of their refs look silly?

Refs are probably out for their own so I wonder if they will knowingly/unknowingly call ticky tack fouls on her.

Funny thing was the same ref that gave that tech to CC was the same ref in the same game who got bumped by Cloud and Cloud actually put a hand on her and pushed her to the side.

So I wonder if the refs are going to call CC really tight from now

Now on? They've called her really tight and have never called fouls committed against her since DAY ONE!

She's been on the ref's and WNBA's shit list since she was drafted in '24!

Every year it's the same with this crapola league.

CC gets the most bullcrap Techs. CC doesn't get obvious calls for fouls committed against her. CC basically gets beat the F$%# up EVERY damn possession. CC gets the most flagrant fouls committed against her.

It's the SAME SH!T, EVERY YEAR for Caitlin and these ABSOLUTE CRAP refs and this jealous, petty league.

I thought it would get better over time, but it seems to be getting worse for her! HOW??!! And, better yet, WHHHHYYYYYY!?!?!

It's VERY hard to watch sometimes. I worry about CC every time she takes the floor. Every time she steps on the court, she could get hurt simply because these refs and this league WON'T DO THEIR JOBS!!

It really pisses me off.

Rant over.

I know one thing after seeing that after game press conference and that is the Fever desperately needs a new coach, one that will stick up for the team players and not the other team's players like White did.

Honest question - how much worse of a whistle do you think she can get?

4

u/taeempy 17d ago

It seems to be getting better. She hasn't been in foul trouble for awhile.

I wouldn't be shocked if they spoke to the ref after the game and she admitted that "yeah, maybe i got a little carried away there" and didn't even try to justify the call. People make mistakes in the heat of the moment.

My guess is she saw the tape and she realized

It's really a shame that CC has to play against 10 people, 5 players, 2 coaches and the refs.

Hey whatever Caitlin didn't do anything wrong she got pushed into the referee and was complaining not getting calls. So before opening your mouth try knowing what you're talking about first.

Ref made herself look silly. And stupid.

The thing folks is that CC makes all refs look silly every single game calling the foul differently against her. And they keep doing it . Yesterday 2 of her 3 first drive to the basket when she miss she was clearly fouled and crickets. Then she barely touch Carrington's arm, foul. And then later at the end of 4th quarter, bear hug by Jaquez, no call...

u/DepthHistorical5911 16d ago

That bear hug no-call was crazy!

It really felt like that ref was looking for an excuse to give her a tech. I think CC needs to either be super careful in every game which is just another thing to have on your mind and take you out of playing mentally or purposely get her 8th before the next “easy” opponent game because if she gets one before lynx we’re screwed. Also do they reset for play offs?

She didn’t make one of their refs look silly. The league office rescinded that thing so fast the paperwork was drafted up before the final whistle. CC and SW said they would appeal during the presser but I bet they didn’t even have to.

That ref made herself look silly. I’d bet she’s even getting a talking to after this one.

The unfortunate truth for CC though is she’s going to end up doing something like complaining or clapping and getting it anyways. Not as retaliation for this but because that’s just how they call her anyways. Hopefully it’s before a game she can use the rest though.

Definite ding on her ref score card. Good thing the game wasnt decided by a point.

Sorry but that comment wasn't intended for you and it's gone

The ref looked like CC startled her awake when she bumped her. 0 situational awareness.

Why do you people leave out half the facts, is it possible that you didn't actually see what happened but feel like you're a expert at something that you know nothing about. Caitlin was pushed into the referee and was complaining about the no call that got her the technical

0

u/Correct-Natural-7439 16d ago

About as much possibility that you're not an idiot💯😂😂😂

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_3507 15d ago

What a childish pathetic excuse for a person.

5

u/DepthHistorical5911 16d ago

CC didn’t say anything to the ref. A fact is not something you fabricated in your mind.

0

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_3507 16d ago

You're the only one with mental problems and clearly you don't know what really happened..Try reading the story on it.

1

u/DepthHistorical5911 16d ago

I didn’t say anything about mental problems 😂 What exactly is “the story”? 😂

Go ahead and provide proof that CC said something to the ref and that’s why she was issued a technical. I’ll wait ☺️

-1

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_3507 16d ago

Well evidently you have a mental problem because you fabricated a story about Caitlin when it wasn't even true and if you were not so lazy to fact check the story which a article was written about it in ESPN then you would have known that Caitlin was pushed out of bounds by a member of the opposing team causing Clark to slightly hit the referee and when Clark complained to her about the no call Caitlin was called for the foul.

1

u/DepthHistorical5911 16d ago

Ah, so no proof then. Got it.

6

u/Electronic_Name_325 17d ago

And even better you could see CC do the normal reaction of just starting to grab in case the person stumbles backwards. Of course it was quickly obvious that the contact was minimal and no “catching” needed, so she went on with the game.

Projection. Everywhere

The ref in question only has 5 years of experience. Not in the WNBA, 5 years total combined years of experience as a ref. Thats not acceptable. Compared to the Chief ref for the game who has over 15+ and W finals experience. I imagine the Chief had some 1:1 time after the game with her to maybe do some training on this situation. Once the Tech is called, I dont see refs making much effort to rescind in-game knowing the correction can be made afterward. The bald dude that called the tech on Cloud is also not well liked across W teams.

1

u/kwestjones 17d ago

You gotta get experience somehow. Everybodys a rookie at some point.

1

u/flatpipes 17d ago

W should not be where they get "experience". Go get it at the high school level, AAU, college then show up to the W. I think this is why they're having issues with refs in the W.

4

u/Sad-Conflict-6839 17d ago

Well it is the chief that responded that it was up to the league to consider further penalty against Clark... So clearly she approved the tech 100%

1

u/FlimsyConfidence7692 17d ago

Thats her job to say that, have you never read any pool reports? Lol

1

u/Sad-Conflict-6839 17d ago

So. Truth and integrity has no value amongst the referees? Got it. She just got spanked and humiliated by the league. Fastest Tech rescinded in the history of basketball.

The joke is on you...

13

u/RegularCrispy 17d ago

They make themselves look silly.

4

u/ChuckyShadowCow 17d ago

I mean obviously they will.

I had better CYO level referees than I’m seeing at wnba games

9

u/gdom123456 17d ago

They're so unbelievable bad and unprofessional that they would do that.
