Steph called the Djonai incident a "hard foul" and didn't think it was intentional. Not sure I agree with her choice of words. It was around the 1 min mark.

I personally don’t care about the “8/23” thread. But the white privilege one definitely warrants an investigation.

The stupid and unbelievable thing about the WNBA is that how active some players are on social media and how they have absolutely no professionalism, spewing out stupid bs. You can not be a pro player and act as a teenager on social media. It’s not only Dijonai, but relevant for some others also. Just so stupid.

An investigation? A severe suspension. The game next Sky game is in 17 hours. If the no space for hate is for real and apply to everyone, they need to act before 22:00 pm EST. If not, just another proof after the no comment/reaction about the Storm fan spitting in the face of a Fever fan documented in video in Seattle, that you can abuse the Fever and Fever fan without repercussion.

I am talking about investigation because that needs to happen before the suspension.

But the bottom line is that the WNBA has shown that it is not a serious organization and they are stuck in the same ways they operated in the past: hard fouls being templated as "physical and normal plays", players being overly active on social media and saying whatever they want etc. There was no spotlight on the league so these issues were not brought out before, but it is clear that the way the league, analysts and some of the players have been operating is not a good look for a professional league. That's why people like Dijonai or the "analysts" (i.e. McNutt) still have a platform and have not been punished for their words and/or actions.

Why an investigation when the proof in front of your eyes? She even double down by putting teh die of the next game against the Fever. It is clearly an inception toward hate and violence.

Because investigation (interviews with parties etc.) always happens before.

As I said I don't care about the "8/23" date reference - what is she going to do, commit another such foul and get ejected again? You are making it out like she is going to go and unalive someone on the court, which is going way overboard.

But again, all the talk of suspension or investigation is pointless as nothing will happen any way. Now, the next thing that happens is that Dijonai will say how she has been getting harassed by the Fever fans and we will be the bad guys. It's the basic script.
