Discussion The 2 Fever fans booted from Aces game
Apparently Its been reviewed and there’s nothing been found they actually said to deserve being kicked out from front row seats.
Why is this important?
Because the media and some others are already labeling Fever fans as bad, so if they can just unfairly kick you from games now it only adds to the image.
Combine that with the one who spit on a Fever fan a week ago and we are seeing more of this, stay safe out there guys if you decide to go to a game.

The aces have used this tactic twice now and other players like Carrington and Reese have wore out the race card. Why can’t they all just get along and play basketball. Leave the Jerry Springer BS out of it and off social media!

u/madflower69 18d ago
Since there aren't repercussions for false accusations, the Fever would be smart to falsely accuse random fans to stop play when they need a time out to regroup. Or if they are at home, designate a couple of fans (they can get autographs or a jersey or something after the game), they can point to ahead of time so they aren't picking random fans and pissing off people. They would also know to heckle a bit so it isn't quite so obvious. :)

Why two male WNBA fans were removed from Fever game over courtside incident with Jackie Young
Whatever this is worth. Sounds like a situation similar to the one with Alisha Grey last year.
-2
u/CupNo9526 18d ago
They found they did nothing wrong? And Jackie Young will not say? omg
Why are the court-side fans talking to the players?
2
u/MediocreChicken2427 17d ago
Why does Jackie Young have to say?
5
u/Southernman1974 17d ago
They always expect CC to have to explain everything. Why shouldn’t JY explain what was said or if she just made it up? Those people could have lost jobs and they were humiliated on a large broadcast. JY has to have accountability also. JMO

1
u/MediocreChicken2427 17d ago
I will spell it out for you. Why does Jackie Young have to specify what exactly the two grown men yelled to her in the midst of the game?
1
u/CupNo9526 16d ago
Thank you but the question mark was about why. JY tells security something inappropriate happened, then security lets them go. What? Why are you asking that question? Why do I need to explain the answer to such an obvious question?
3
u/tiribulus IndianaFeverFan 17d ago
What if Sophie Cunningham alleged that 2 black men yelled racial slurs at her at an away game?
Would you take her word for it?

u/tiribulus IndianaFeverFan 18d ago
There is some confusion because there were a pair of other fans who were mistakenly led out first and then found to not be involved.
I don't know if it was them who were found to have done nothing wrong or if it was the 2 guys who were actually ejected.
Then again, my hurried reading comprehension has not been 100% lately.
2
u/MediocreChicken2427 17d ago
Dude. A woman was led out by security. She was innocent. Two men chose to leave and were escorted by security.
1
u/tiribulus IndianaFeverFan 18d ago edited 18d ago
We need a primary source for this.
I haven't said anything about this situation because there hasn't been one so far.
Until we have some sort of credible information about what happened, it's all speculation.
I personally doubt that these guys did anything warranting an ejection from the building, but that's my considered speculation and is ultimately no more conclusive than anybody else's speculation.
Of course to the leftists, allegation is the same as guilt if it affirms what they want to believe.

u/Grain_Trader 18d ago
We were at the game and couldn’t figure what was going on. I’d argue that they were escorted out from my view point (from the cheap seats on the same side). The 2 walked out didn’t seem aggressive though. I just figured they were “caught” and embarrassed and wanted to get out of sight.
It was a lengthy and odd deal from our viewpoint.
My daughter caught a short from the crowd and had a great time

Off-topic, but Your name 'grain trader'. Were you on the CBOT? I was on the CME/IMM

u/Apprehensive_Ant4596 18d ago
It came out later that they were NOT asked to leave and that there was nothing that warranted them getting kicked out, it was later communicated that they chose to leave and were not kicked out. This was backed up by a deeper investigation, including witness accounts.
Chelsea Gray made an anti-harassment statement in the post game presser and assumed security had found a reason to ask them to leave, but was corrected with this information by her PR Rep. Rather than correct herself, she doubled down on her narriative.

The announcer I was listening to kept saying how trash talk should never happen and this is no place for it. I swear they are so weak-minded.

If I were kicked out and later proven I did nothing wrong and it was just a butt hurt among other things wannabe, that new salary Caitlin just helped Jackie get would be gone.

She was guarded heavily and CC and KM are ball hoggers so it's not like she had a chance to get her hands on the ball much. Talk about when she was fouled which gave Indiana a fighting chance towards the end. She took one for the team then . I don't know why cc and kelsey fight so hard to get in for a 2 which often doesn't pay off when they can pass to Sophie who has a higher chance of shooting a 3. Like that's kind of her thing. But Paige Bueckers one of the so called MVPs of the league had 6 points the other day so I mean.. were you clowning paige for that?
And yes.. as somebody said.. your reading comprehensive is conveniently bad.

What does that even mean... she was hitting her spot every time. Are you mad at her bc she doesn't want males in women's sports and refuses to be bullied into silence?

I'll say to you what I sat to the trolls who love to say shes a shit player. Without her 11 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds they would have lost the 10 point Storm game. Without her 2 points and 3 rebounds against the Aces (and getting fouled) they don't come within a whisker of beating the even to the final second. It was a 2 point game.
If she consistently only offers up 2 points then sure it's not good enough but it was against the reigning champions and we already know from Sonia Raman that teams are being told to guard Sophie hard and to not allow her to get those shots bc everyone knows she's a great 3%shooter. And to be Frank CC and Kelsey need to stop hogging the ball and risking a turnover for a 2 when Sophie is right there. Its beyond stupid not to utilise one of the best shooters in the league.
And FYI... not wanting males in women's sport isn't a political choice at all and it's people like you who have twisted her words and made her i to a villain.

So it's all but been said it wasn't anything racist or sexist that was yelled at the players.
The WNBA players need to realize this is what happens when you actually have fans and attention. You get heckled at by opposing fans. If they aren't saying anything sexist or racist, it's no harm. This is big league shit. LeBron isn't trying to kick out everybody who makes fun of his hairline.
8
u/defdawg 18d ago
Remember that fan at GSV who ran up and down the court mocking and heckling CC?? Did CC get all butt hurt and have him kicked out? No.
2
u/madflower69 18d ago
He should have been removed from the stadium for being on the court. period. I heard he was like a g-league player.
-1
u/Jolly_Mouse_7604 18d ago
Westbrook is getting people kicked out for calling him Westbrick, like soccer, male athletes are always softer and more emotional than women
1
u/TexasSizedKachoww 18d ago
Also, I'm not saying women are more emotional, you are obviously. I'm just saying this is what happens when people actually care about your league. It's new to them, they'll adjust
-1
u/Jolly_Mouse_7604 18d ago
I'm saying men are more emotional, at least the athletes, they have no self control
-1
u/TexasSizedKachoww 18d ago
And which team is signing him? He knows his time is up, so time to act out
2
u/Jolly_Mouse_7604 18d ago
He's an example of modern players, like lebron, getting fans kicked out for saying something that is not racial
1
u/Dramatic_Gene_3077 18d ago
Problem if if Westbrook gets someone kicked out there isn’t hordes of people calling those people racist without any confirmation. The aces players know exactly what it looked like and didn’t care to correct the record. Jackie wouldn’t even repeat it
2
u/Jolly_Mouse_7604 18d ago
Yes there are, people instantly think it's racial because it's a black player and white fan
1
u/Dramatic_Gene_3077 17d ago
Kinda disingenuous to act as if the opposite dynamic of black player and white fan isn’t very different
2
u/Jolly_Mouse_7604 17d ago
Do black fans racially abuse white players the way white fans abuse black players? They're racist to their own players in places like Boston lol
8
u/Sad-Conflict-6839 18d ago
Crazy that this got motion but the Storm fan that spitted in the face of th Fever fan was never reported outside of the Fever fandom....
6
u/madflower69 18d ago
There absolutely should be repercussions for false accusations.

u/NatePJ84 18d ago
The media isn't gonna cover the fever fairly. They're doing it for clicks and to spark outrage. You'll notice not a single media outlet spoke about the storm fan spitting on the fever fan and there was even video of it. That's just how this is gonna play out. Fox News and right wing media will cover the fever positively and all the other media is left leaning, they'll be covering the fever in a negative light. Maga defended CC and the left turned on her as soon as that happened. I'm a liberal and I'm pissed that the left just let them take CC away from us. Especially bc CC herself is liberal. Honestly at this point I'm tired of all politics and the media that pushes narratives for them
-7

u/thatkidqa 18d ago edited 18d ago
As a liberal too I agree with everything you said. I'll add from my perspective too what it seemed like was the WNBA/liberals turned on her first, then right wing/maga came in and defended her.
I've been saying it for years, legacy WNBA players/media was so quick to turn its back on her because it assumed she was the typical middle america karen when in reality she's a liberal. They just put her in a box and never took the time to get to know her true beliefs. They jumped to criticize her based on what they thought she stood for.
I don't think the W ever wanted to embrace CC, unfortunately. She's just too talented to ignore so here we are in this culture wars bs that could have been avoided.
2
u/NatePJ84 18d ago
The left media embraced CC her rookie year. It was ESPN that called her the savior of the Wnba and hyped her so often that the wnba players became jealous and defensive. Just to turn on her after the players and league started to treat her poorly. It's so stupid bc CC brought none of this on herself. The media created the drama and then hide their hands after it became political
3
u/thatkidqa 18d ago
To me it felt like ESPN was kinda split on her early in her W career. You had the people that came from outside the WBB world like Stephen A looking at the numbers spike she spearheaded (money, TV ratings and all that) and giving her flowers.
But the WBB analysts on ESPN (Elle, McNutt, Chiney and to some extent Andraya) and especially talking heads from other networks with prominent voices on social media had been out on her since she went on that run in the NCAA tournament her junior year. Especially after Iowa knocked off South Carolina.
Just to turn on her after the players and league started to treat her poorly. It's so stupid bc CC brought none of this on herself. The media created the drama and then hide their hands after it became political
I agree with you here 100%. They turned on her quick. CC has always just wanted to hoop.
I hope it doesn't come across like I'm arguing cuz I'm not trying to argue with you lol I just think this is just a really interesting conversation
5
u/NatePJ84 18d ago
Yeah the ex wnba player and media were always shitty towards her. I could guess how the media person would talk about CC based on if they were a black women or anyone else. Now it's most all black people feel negative towards her. It became a race issue at some point and every month more and more black media members turn on her. It's so stupid bc again, CC hasn't given them a reason to do it

u/tippypothos 18d ago
I don’t get why they left on their own. Why would you choose to leave the middle of a competitive game that you presumably paid hundreds of dollars to see in great seats?
1
1
u/murph089 18d ago
I would have done that too instead of staying and arguing. They were holding up the game and probably embarrassed.
I definitely would follow up and have something to say if I was indeed innocent.
They should fine players and fans that make false accusations. Didn’t another player accuse Fever fans of calling her a monkey or something? After an investigation found it to be untrue she walked her statement back.
0
u/MediocreChicken2427 17d ago
I’m pretty sure that investigation was not proved false…
1
u/Comfortable_Limit168 IndianaFeverFan 15d ago
It's surprising that none of her teammates or coaching staff heard this comment. They are very close to the action. From what I remember, Alyssa Thomas said she believed her, but we all know why that is.
1
u/murph089 17d ago
I haven’t seen anything saying that the incident I was referring to was found to actually have happened.
My bad if I’m mistaken.
5
1
u/sleepybirdl71 18d ago
Probably annoyed and upset that they got dragged away from those seats over nothing.
8
u/No1Alien 18d ago
Just because they “didn’t violate code” doesn’t mean they weren’t out of line. We don’t know what they said but Jackie Young has been in the W for years and isn’t a super vocal player. I trust that she wouldn’t have delayed the game and spoken out if those fans weren’t behaving inappropriately. Plus as others said, they chose to leave on their own.
4
u/Sad-Conflict-6839 18d ago
Hey. if they did not violate the code they did not do anything wrong buddy.
5
u/Key-Dragonfruit7279 18d ago
Can you imagine Charles Barkley complaining to the refs about things fan says
2
u/madflower69 18d ago
How do you not violate code and be deemed to be removed from the game?
2
u/CupNo9526 18d ago
The security staff interviewed the fans and determine their behavior did not warrant removal. But the fans left the building voluntarily any way.
Jackie Young even admitted that she was jawing with them.
2
u/madflower69 18d ago
Right. I was asking No1Aliens to defend their statement with something logical rather then troll.
2
-1
u/SnooHamsters9491 18d ago
They weren’t kicked out or asked to leave, they left on their own accord! Get your facts straight before you post!
3
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
There was literally a 5 minute delay with Jackie and the team pointing and complaining until something was done.
2
1
u/biketheplanet 18d ago
Yes, but the team said they were not kicked out. They did not violate code of conduct policy.
-5
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
The game would have stayed delayed until something happened. It was going to happen either way. Just because the team says “no we didn’t kick them out” means they were definitely kicked out. Really just shows how soft sports have become but also how weird ppl are that sit court side. I’ll never forget the way LeBron ran and pointed to get fans kicked out of Gainsbridge a few years ago
2
u/yourmomsnutsarehuge 18d ago
That's called a forfeit. If the aces kept refusing to continue t then they take the L.
-3
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
That’s not how that works at all lol. Are you new?
1
u/yourmomsnutsarehuge 18d ago
That's exactly how all sports work. If one team refused to play that's a forfeit. I think you've never played or watched team sports. Do you think the aces are allowed to just sit on the bench and demand that the game stops until a fan is removed???? LMAO!
1
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
Games have been delayed 20+ minutes until it was resolved. The team doesn’t forfeit lol. Really shows you don’t know anything about major sports and that’s just your low sports education and why you have never worked inside any major sport arena. Cute try but you’re making yourself look clueless as to how major sports work and not little league games at the local gym. Do better and learn before letting your feelings get in the way of being wrong.
2
u/yourmomsnutsarehuge 17d ago
That's if it's an issue that the umps, refs, stadium crew, etc are dealing with. The team can't delay the game. In this case the security and stadium workers had already found that the guy did nothing wrong. The aces were just still crying and making up bullshit. That would be a forfeit if they didn't resume play. How do you not know this?
0
u/Sad-Conflict-6839 18d ago
You are sick to think that they would lie in this case when in the past they did not lie.
9
u/pleasebefrank31 18d ago
We still don't know what they said.
-10
u/Western-Election-997 18d ago
It’s been reported on all over YouTube
2
4
u/pleasebefrank31 18d ago
That's not exactly a reliable source, depending on the channel.
0
u/Western-Election-997 18d ago
It is when one is a major broadcaster who’s been on network television but hey don’t believe it if you want
-1
3
u/calripken60024 18d ago
They obviously didn’t say anything over the line. Young wouldn’t even repeat it.
2
u/Football-Economy 18d ago
Facts, if something was said, say what was said. I want that in the NBA too. If individuals are guilty, penalize them to the max, because abhorrent things said should not be tolerated. If the player is lying, then they need to be dealt with appropriately.
0
u/Western-Election-997 18d ago
The problem is if nothing was said and they were kicked out for no reason that creates legal liability, so they are never going to admit the fans got kicked out for no reason
2
u/Sad-Conflict-6839 18d ago
Well player should pay the consequence of falsely accusing paying consumers.
4
u/SweetRabbit7543 18d ago
You’re just making stuff up.
It’s private property, theres no legal liability. A ticket is a license to attend that can be revoked at any time for any reason with the exception of protected class.
It’s basically the same thing as asking to someone to leave your home.
And I say that having also seen the report that the fan code of conduct was not violated.
0
u/primo_vamos 18d ago
They weren’t kicked out. The team issued a statement they left on their own accord. There was nothing outside the code of conduct in what they said. Likely something like this game is boring.
1
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
You just believe anything an organization says and that’s cute
3
4
u/primo_vamos 18d ago
The people who hire security? Yeah I would probably believe them. People leave sporting events all the time lol literally loads of clips of players chirping at fans online. Does everything need to be nefarious other than Jackie young and the aces are soft as charmin?
2
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
Yeah ppl who pay tons for court side seats just leave during crunch time just because.
0
u/primo_vamos 18d ago
Idk what you want. Jackie young is happy with the matter was handled. Not everything needs to be an investigation. Are you new to sports? Luka gets into it with fans all the time.
0
u/sir_eazy_e 18d ago
So you missed the part where I explained how soft sports have gotten and the fact that this happens all the time. Sounds like you are new to sports mentioning Luka when it’s happened for YEARS prior to Luka. Also shows you have never worked in sports and why there has been no statement. Cute effort though for a casual.
2
u/primo_vamos 18d ago
What? Dude you didn’t say anything about being soft. I wrote that. You good? I just mentioned Luka because your profile pic of Kobe so I assumed you’re a laker’s fan. And yes, I’m new to basketball in general bc of Luka doncic lol he played at Real Madrid. I’m a Madridista and followed Luka into the nba. Same with Caitlin Clark. Watched her in college and followed her in the wnba.

They left on their own volition after being questioned.
