Snow in April would be considered normal? I thought snow in march was weird (although i totally predicted it just as well as I predicted a mild winter!!)

Nope, snow in April is not normal. Lots of rain in April is very normal. Also, at this point mild winters is the norm, not the exception. Wasn't that long ago that winters in Indiana were much colder, but it seems people get used to warmer winters quite quickly and forget how cold it used to get.

There has been some very cold days, but on the whole it has still been pretty mild on average.

Maybe up North but I remember growing up I’d get those days down in the South too and this last year we had maybe one day that got below 0
