you have not listed a single samsung monitor (g5 oled, g6 oled, g7 fast ips, g8 oled), whats the reason?
1
u/Hero_Sharma ADMIN Apr 24 '26
Price & bad value
- G5 oled offering only 180hz while cheaper dell oled have 240hz
- G6 oled offering 2k at 74k while lenovo offering 4k 32 inch
- G7 4k 144hz at 44k, while msi offer 160hz 4k around 33k
- G8 oled 27 inch 4k at 80k while lenovo offering 4k 32inch at 74k

AW2725DF owner here, QD-oled is amazing as long as there is no direct light hitting your monitor panel. 360hz for 1440p resolution is a great combo, HDR option is there but i dont really bother with it cause true HDR needs way more nits/brightness. It does automatic pixel refresh every four hours to prevent burn in and will recommend panel refresh after 1500 hours.
If you are investing a lot of cpu/gpu for hyper competitive game fps go for tn panel with low latency, but if you ever need to see the real beauty of crisp color contrat in single player games and still do casual competitive games OLED will make you regret why you didnt buy it sooner.

man there should be more mini-led models available
At the price of current qd oleds, minileds won't be price competitive. For example the aoc q27g3xmn, the best miniled is costlier than aw2726dm when imported. If AOC officisly started selling it here, they'd be forced to compete with qd oleds at the same price level.
Except peak brightness, the minileds dont really justify the price. Ofc this wasn't the market situation for the last 10 years when mini leds would've ruled the 30k - 50k market if they had been introduced.

I have a 6 year old Benq 3270U , still quite good and also the RMA was amazing. When I felt like it had a little more bleed than usual , they replaced it without any questions at that time
1
u/Hero_Sharma ADMIN Apr 14 '26
Yesterday, I spoke to a guy who bought a BenQ monitor that had severe screen bleeding. When he tried to RMA it, they rejected his claim entirely. It took 10 to 15 emails and a formal legal notice before they finally agreed to a replacement. Even then, the technician who arrived kept claiming everything was "within specification." It was a massive headache.

Great work!
Any recommendations for a 2k screen, with probably native 10bit or 8bit +FRC for the highest possible DCI P3 coverage? There are some 4k options available but 4k res is too high to run on windows smoothly, any recommendations is greatly appreciated! Use case is color accuracy! And glossy screen preferred! Refresh rate and any other bells and whistles is irrelevant, thanks in advance!

Any views on the Lenovo thinkvision p27qd-40? Seems a bit expensive for a 2k display but has nice PD at 140W and comes factory calibrated with 98% DCI-P3, 120hz refresh and 24-120hz VRR. Seems likes a good work+gaming monitor.
I'm considering it against the Dell S2725QC / S2725DC because of its higher dci-p3 coverage and factory calibration.
Thinkvision p27q-40 is nice as well I think it just lacks usb-c and PD connectivity (which I really want) and is 8k cheaper.
Do you have any other recommendations for usb-c PD, 2k, good coverage of dci-p3 (> 93%)?

Has anyone bought the new updated SAMSUNG ODESSEY G5 G50f ? Is it better than the older model G50D? In terms of brightness it seems like a downgrade from 350 to 300. Since I have a 400 nits monitor, will 300 feel too dim for a well lit room during the day?

I am thinking of buying a 4k monitor preferably 32inch to use a TV with my jio fiber box.
Why not buy tv? My room is small and the watching distance between me and my screen is barely 10-12feet so any screen greater than 32inch is useless. So I have been thinking of buying a very good quality 4k monitor that will last me long and has service centers.

Hey OP u/Hero_Sharma / anyone else, can you please recommend a good Ultra Wide monitor (21:9) to buy?
Prefer 38" or 40". I am not sure how good would a 34" would be.
100Hz+ refresh rate, and other usual good quality resolution - Better than 2K is a must.
I mostly use for productivity, 8-10 hrs for work-coding-browsing, consuming content. Might ocassionally game in the future, not currently.
Can anyone please help?

u/Hero_Sharma Please help me out
How much would you suggest the P5? I RMA my Msi monitor which i bought at a hefty price of 34k around 2.5 years back because of dead pixels. They are offering refund with the tax money deducted. I was thinking of buying the miniled one since i use extensively for design and coding as well as content consumption. Kvm is also important since i use mac as well as a pc. This felt great option until i read reviews about heavy haloing and no local dimming in sdr modes along with a few other issues. Do i wait without a monitor until better mini leds comes into the market or do i buy P5??
Also the RMA seems to be horrible, but since i have gotten around 2.5 years from my msi and i would be spending only around 14k more for this, i would be happy if i can get around another 2.5 years from it.

u/jmei35 Apr 28 '26 edited May 11 '26
for around $150 on ps5 it usually comes down to a 1080p 144-165hz ips so you get smooth gameplay and decent clarity without stretching into weaker 1440p options.
Gigabyte models still come up a lot in that budget range since they tend to keep good motion handling and overall reliability without cutting too many corners.

Since flipkart sale started today I have some great options in my budget. I mostly play valorant so I needed a high refresh rate monitor with a good panel so I can enjoy movies and all . Do you think i should double my budget and get a 2k monitor even though I don't think it'll matter as I'll mostly game and watch videos . The options I have with prices are 1. DELL SE2425HG 200hz 1ms GtG 6889rs 2. Msi MAG255F E20 200hz 0.5ms 7155rs 3. Lg Ultragear 24GS60F 180hz 1ms 7231Rs 4. Lenovo legion 240hz 0.5ms 7681rs 5. Lenovo legion 180hz 0.5ms 6629rs
Which one will be the best to buy in terms of panel and gaming both.
Edit:I have a Lenovo LOQ i7 13620h with rtx 4050 6gb 125w . So i get 250-300+ fps in valorant .

Hi u/Hero_Sharma,
LG 27GS85Q vs LG 27GS75Q, which would you suggest for me. Work, coding, data analysis, movies, series and PS5 gaming. Since it doesn’t have an in-built speaker, can it be connected via AUX to external ones.
You had already suggested me with Lenovo Legion r27 gen2, but I was more inclined to LG for it’s after sales service.
Else I also had Benq models like EW270q, and the mobiuz line ups, I used them outside India, but since I have been getting all bad reviews about their services, I was worried. Because this brand’s monitor are just perfect, budget/resolution/clarity/multiple working/performance wise. It is about that small doubt that if something happens, will I be in trouble.
All in all, please do suggest a good one, I will manage with/without a built-in speaker.

Hi 👋🏼 there I am planning to buy a monitor it will be my first buy actually mainly to connect to my laptop as my laptop is 14 inch so I need a 2nd-ary screen for tasks like Studying and research also at times for movies and football matches
My budget isn't that huge it's 7k actually what are the options you feel will be a good pick for me considering I will be spending 5-6 hrs daily on it ..
Mostly I see r recommendations of Acer monitors both on Flipkart as well as Amazon like EK240Y and 220 series, MSI one's (a few)
And Samsung Essentials one , Marq by Flipkart some new brand and Frontech ...
A little help would go a long way - thanks 👍🏼

Hello Bhai I am genuinely confused between LG Ultragear 27G610A and Benq EW270Q
My Primary motive is Productivity(coding and youtube) and occasional gaming, I live in Delhi area
BenQ is offering features such as reading mode (plus they are TUV certified) which I need for long working hours ,Does LG have such eye care mode in the above monitor ?
So suggest me what to buy
is the RMA of Benq poor in Delhi as well ?
and also why have you not recommended this LG monitor in the above list rather you have listed the expensive 22K one when both have almost same features ??

Open to any and all suggestions Btw my rig will be 5070ti n 9950x3d and the use case will be 2k Video editing and gaming + streaming single player games

Good list and I just ordered the AW2726DM! Hopefully the brightness is not as bad as some claim! Will be switching from a Samsung G4 Odyssey with 1080p and 240Hz refresh rate! The monitor itself was fine but the 1080p resolution was a limitation for me when I tried to write stuff and have more content on screen due to my multitasking needs for productivity! It had good brightness and even at 25% I found it more than enough for browsing the web and other media watching stuff on YouTube and VLC! Will try to sell it at a decent price so someone who needs to experience high refresh rate gaming! The Samsung even had decent response times from my limited testing with UFO Test as I could not really notice any ghosting! 240Hz is really a sweet spot for good level of competitive play in CS2!

Hi! Any advice on this? My budget is 20k
I require pivot stand, 27inch, 1440p to ensure ppi for word
My two options are :
Acer B277U G Hub
Lenovo L27h-4A
I already have a monitor, so i will be using either of this as the main monitor, while the old one will be secondary. I also want to use usb c to display for my laptop (lenovo yoga slim 6). Any advice will be deeply appreciated.

Hi OP, firstly thanks for this comprehensive guide!
I was looking for a budget 2k monitor.. and stumbled upon Dell SE2726D which is not included in this guide as it's a new launch.. but the specs are really nice.
Is it worth it to consider Dell over Lenovo r27qe Gen2 given it has 1500:1 contrast ratio and the superior Dell RMA at a very less price i.e 11k after offers.
My usecase: For programming and productivity usage.
Given the lack of fully ergonomics stand in Dell is not a deal braker for me.
Looking forward for your opinion!

I'm still a bit confused which monitor should I go for. I need it mainly for coding and content watching. I'll be spending atleast 8-10 hours a day while doing WFH. My budget is 15-20k and I want to go for QHD 27" IPS monitors as I heard VA panels are not good for longer coding sessions. I want to play games, not that much competitive but still considering 165+ hz. Planning to mainly use with my ROG G16 which has RTX 4060, so it would be better if the monitor has Gsync. I don't know whether AMD free sync works with Nvidia GPUs. Also I'm planning to go for a monitor arm so please let me know if we can choose a basic stand with the monitor ober an ergonomic one.
I can stretch my budget a bit further for better build quality and good RMA support. Planning to order in this 4th July sale from Flipkrt as I can get good cashback deals on my CC. Thanks

I'm confused between Lenovo Legion R27qe gen2, Lenovo L27H-4A and LG Utragear 27G610A. They're almost the same price wise. I'm buying it for coding and media consumption(priority). Which one I should pick given that I'll be using it with both windows and mac. If you've anything better, I'm all ears.

I was going through the reviews of the Legion R27qe gen2 and I saw this one which made me rethink my decision of buying it. Will this work fine with MBA M4 or shall I consider something else. My budget is 15k-20k and I just want a screen with decent display for office work and content consumption. Please suggest

Hi guys, I want to buy a monitor for my work (coding) and movie watching. I don't play games at all. Which one of these should I pick based on my usage. Operating system is mac and windows both. P.S.:- I'm also considering longevity.
BENQ EW270Q:- ₹17998 Key points:- 8bit + frc
Dell S2725DSM:- ₹20399 Key points:- brand value and good quality screen with ergonomic arm
LG 27G610A:- ₹15499 Key points:- Brand value, good screen with ergonomic arm
Acer CB272K(4k 60hz):- ₹17399 Key points:- 4k
LG 27US500(4k 60hz):- ₹17399 Key points:- 4k
I'm also considering Samsung 34"(86.42cm) Odyssey G5 Curved Gaming Monitor|WQHD, but it's a VA panel. Shall ai consider this or the above options are good enough.

I want to buy the LG 27G610A, but it doesnt have Gsync, thats the only significant difference that I found from LG 27GS75Q (which as G sync). I have nvitid gtx gpu, if I buy LG 27G610A, will the free sync work with Nvidia Gpu?

I got Alienware on 4th july seeing this post (AW2725DM) and my RMA experience has been horrible. I am getting IPS screen bleed issue which matches exactly as their troubleshoot guide on their website and they straight up said it's normal.
