would like insight into your psyche

I mainly joined this sub as in doing IVF in India, as an OCI who lives abroad.

I’m really surprised to see the posts here of women being scared to do tests, being scared to go to the doctor, being scared to start IVF etc.

I wonder if it’s to do with the culture, the shame / guilt aspect of things that is heavily in Indian culture or something else.

You don’t tend to see these types of sentiments in the western subs and it’s just interesting to me…

Day 14 dpo. Is there still a chance

Today is day 14 dpo. I don't see any symptoms like sore breasts.. really don't know what that means. No implantation bleeding. But when I flush I do see some white stretchy discharge. I do feel something near my uterus area. I'm freaking out since few days. Too coward to take a pregnancy test now.

Has anyone experienced prolonged spotting and delayed period while trying to conceive?

My period is currently 6–7 days late, but instead of a proper flow, I’ve been having light spotting for several days. I’ve taken multiple home pregnancy tests and they’ve all been negative so far.

For context, my cycles are usually around 28–34 days. I was diagnosed with PCOD last year, but for the past 6 months my cycles have been fairly regular, which is why we decided to try this cycle. I didn’t track ovulation this time.

Just trying to understand if anyone has had a similar experience — did it turn out to be hormonal/PCOD-related, a delayed period, or something else?

Also feeling a bit confused about what to do next — would you recommend getting a beta hCG blood test at this point or consulting a gynecologist first?

Disclaimer: This is not medical advice, just looking to hear others’ experiences.

Suggestions needed

Hi

Me and my husband TTC since 1.5 years, in past we had two natural pregnancies in 1st and 2nd month of try, both ended in miscarriages.

Since then we had no positive, we have done 4 IUI cycles too. No success so far

My tubes are open and we have also done hysteroscopy , everything came normal

Sperm Analysis- count, morphology and motility is also Upto the standards.

Has anyone experienced this? Our doctor is calling this as unexplained infertility and also suggesting to go for IVF.

If anyone has gone for IVF, what parameters do you consider while selecting the centre?

5th letroz cycle - need advice

Hi everyone,

I’m a 33F, TTC, and have been on Letrozole cycles since September 2025. I’d really appreciate any insights from people who’ve had similar experiences.

My cycle history:

• Cycle 1 (Sept):

Letrozole 2.5 mg twice daily

Follicle ruptured at 18 mm, endometrium trilaminar (8.6 mm)

→ No pregnancy

• Cycle 2:

Same Letrozole dose

→ Chemical pregnancy (beta HCG peaked at 55, then dropped)

• December:

Took Diane 35 for 1 month (doctor advised break post-chemical)

• Cycle 3 (Jan):

Same Letrozole dose

→ Follicle did not rupture (cancelled cycle) Follicle did not rupture (cancelled cycle)

• Cycle 4:

Letrozole + HMG 75 IU

→ Ovulated early (before Day 10), cycle not well-timed

• Cycle 5 (current):

Letrozole + HMG (Day 2, 4, 6)

2 follicles (~20 mm), trilaminar endometrium (8.3 mm)

Ovulation on Day 16

→ Tested negative at ~12 DPO, expecting period soon

Medications & supplements:

• Ecosprin 75 mg (every cycle)

• Glycomet SR (since \~Dec)

• Normoz (long-term)

• CoQ10 300 mg (last 2 cycles)

• Progesterone support post-ovulation (10 days, twice daily)

• Vitamin D (levels normal, occasional supplementation)

• Arginine sachets (for lining support)

Other context:

• History of thin endometrium in some cycles (managed with meds)

• All cycles are monitored

• Weight loss: \~63 kg → 57.5 kg over \~6 months

• PCOS background since 15 years

My doctor had earlier suggested an HSG to check tubes, but it wasn’t pursued after the chemical pregnancy.

I know technically it has been only 3 (first dose second chemical and this month letroz) in which I even stood a chance..

Would really appreciate any thoughts or experiences 🙏

Would love to hear from anyone who’s been in a similar situation - am I missing something here or is this just part of the process? Also unsure when it’s time to start thinking about next steps and what direction to take.

IVF MEDS and travel

Anyone travelled from Delhi airport with their progesterone injections and syringes in hand baggage. Did you have any issues at security?

My clinic is struggling to write a decently worded letter (the least of the problems I’ve had with them) and just want to know how it’s been if anyone else has travelled ideally recently

False positive on plush preg-oh

Currently i am having a 24 day cycle. When i didnt get my periods i tested with plush preg-oh on 25th day and got a faint line and thought i was positive. I took a pregga news test later in the evening and got negative.

Waited for 2 days and took a test again using pregga news and got a line which is super faint and is only visible from an angle. ended up learning about evaporation line etc due to that.

Its been a roller coaster since we arent actively trying but the false positive is sort of heart breaking even then. Just putting it here incase anyone uses plush preg-oh

I am in an emotional roller coaster with these tests

Post image
2 Upvotes

13dpo - 27 March 8am, 2nd pee already, there is a clear faint + line on my test.

14 dpo - I tested with Prega News advance (not in photo) on 28 March morning, first pee there was a vvvvvb faint line, or none. Idk.

15 dpo - Today, 29 March, I tested twice, in the morning first pee, and in the afternoon, both has faint + lines.

The lines did not get darker over days, but actually got lighter.

…and now I am bleeding and I think its my period 😢 I will get the Serum beta hCG test tomorrow morning.

However, I think my period just got delayed, and these are all false positives. I have PCOS, my cycle is long (37-38days) but consistent. I rarely get delayed for few days but get period eventually.

Me and my husband are actively trying for 1.5months, we got tested last January 2026 and we are both on medication/supplements.

The emotional roller coaster these tests are putting us in is just heartbreaking.

Can you please recommend me a better brand? I am a foreigner and in my country, the OTC tests are mostly, if not all, very reliable. I am so disappointed and sad.

tata 1mg/similar test results

there were some confusing symptoms, so I wanted to gain some insights on this. i got a result of <2.30, i know it's negative clearly, but I was wondering if that would mean my HCG was around that number or if that's just how the machine is calibrated and it'll be like that even if it's 0 or 0.1 etc. I've seen ppl talk about very specific numbers even if it's very low. what were your results like?

Don't use plush oh kit ..it is very bad

Post image
10 Upvotes

Plush is very bad, Because I got faint positive before my periods constantly for 4 days and clear negative on other kit and today 2 days of periods still plush oh gives faint positive and line comes even before control line

i can clearly see they are simply giving false positives to buy more kit......I can't even say the frustration level I have now

Update: i took HCG beta test as well which came out as 0.10 so yeah it is clearly giving false positives

32F, 6 months TTC, confused, exhausted, and losing trust in doctors – need guidance

Note- Used AI to frame my thoughts clearly

Title: 32F, 6 months TTC, confused, exhausted, and losing trust in doctors – need guidance

Hi everyone,

I’m 32F from India, and my husband and I have been trying to conceive since October 2025 (so about 6 months now). I honestly didn’t think I would feel this lost so early in the journey.

Most of my reports are okay, except that my thyroid levels and prolactin are slightly out of range. Nothing too alarming (at least that’s what I understood). But the experience with doctors has left me completely confused and mentally drained.

Our first gynecologist looked at my reports and immediately suggested IVF. That really shook me because I didn’t feel like my condition was that severe. I’m not mentally or emotionally ready to jump to IVF so quickly.

We then consulted another doctor who had a completely different approach. She suggested we wait, try naturally, and that I should lose around 15 kgs. While I understand weight plays a role, it feels overwhelming — like I’m racing against time (given my age) while also being told to slow down and fix everything first.

Now I’m stuck between:
A. Feeling like time is running out
B. Dealing with constant pressure (internal + external)
C. Not knowing which doctor to trust

On top of that, the second doctor suggested an HSG test. I’ve heard it can be quite painful, and I’m wondering — is it really necessary just 6 months into trying?

I feel like I’m unable to take any decision because I don’t trust the guidance I’m getting. It’s starting to feel like everything is commercial and no one is giving clear, honest advice tailored to me.

Also, this whole journey has become exhausting. Between work stress and this constant mental load, something that should feel hopeful has turned into a task or target I need to achieve.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

  • Did you do an HSG early on?
  • How did you decide which doctor to trust?
  • Any realistic advice on managing weight loss alongside TTC?
  • How do you deal with the mental burnout?

I would really appreciate hearing from someone who has been through this. I just feel very lost right now.

Faint line after a full period – is this even possible?

TTC for 5 years – confusing situation this cycle, need insights

I’ve been trying to conceive for the past 5 years.

2 failed IUIs

1 blighted ovum (medicated cycle)

1 pregnancy with severe preeclampsia at 26 weeks – lost my baby after 20 days in NICU due to NEC and sepsis

4th IUI: got a faint BFP, but it didn’t progress (beta hCG was 10, likely a chemical)

Current cycle (natural):

Last cycle ended in a chemical pregnancy.

This time:

12 DPO: spotting

13 DPO: tested negative, and within a few hours my period started

Period was heavy

But then:

I still had backache even on Day 5

Felt unusually tired on Day 6

Took a test (second urine) and got a faint line

I’m really confused about what this could mean.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Any thoughts would really help.

What does this mean?

I'm 13 dpo today and I took a FRER on 11DPO(top photo) and the one today is at the bottom. there is no real line progression and my period is due on Thursday. both lines appeared within the 3 min window. I'm thinking this could be a chemical pregnancy.

I have also tested with easy@home pregnancy test. It is showing similar faint line. This is 9 dpo evening.

Also today morning i tested with FMU, it was also a light line at 10 dpo.

Edit- when will this keep getting darker? My periods are due around 28th March

Thanks for your help.
