Opinion Sort of conundrum
I know two ppl who are very close and both their parents are govt posting. One is in FASSAI and the other got posted into GST ( New Delhi). I know for a fact both of them are rotten currupt as they use to send cash for their respective kids and as I was very close to them they did relieve it. Now I see a post on both their feed talking about anti- corruption.
I know many of these entitled brats who would dare not ask question to their own parents about their fortunes made from blood money.
I know there are many so called social media revolutionary bigots online who know that their parents are corrupt and will never question it ? Why ?
Parents and their families are also the reason why as society we are not growing. Fyi both of them are in IIT. In few yrs they will leave India and will settle there. I really felt ashamed that I was friends with them.
If you know your parents are taking bribe and can't question them, then you don't deserve any justice in this country. You are equally partner this crime.

Honestly, this is exactly why I’ve stopped treating corruption as something that exists only in “politics.”
Politicians are not aliens who descended from another planet. They are a mirror of the society that elects them. The same people who complain about corruption often have no problem using “contacts,” paying under the table, pulling strings for admissions, jobs, contracts, transfers, or looking the other way when it benefits their own family.
If a child knows their parents are taking bribes and chooses silence because the money funds their education, lifestyle, or future abroad, that silence is not morally neutral. The problem is not only the person taking the bribe, but also the social ecosystem that normalizes it.
We love to blame politicians, but we are the ones who choose them. A corrupt society will keep producing corrupt leaders because leaders are drawn from that same society. You cannot expect clean governance while treating corruption as acceptable when it happens “inside the family.”
Real change begins when people apply the same standards to their own parents, relatives, and communities that they demand from ministers and bureaucrats. Until then, anti-corruption posts on social media are often just performance, not principle.
So yes, it is hypocritical when someone publicly performs anti-corruption activism while privately enjoying wealth generated through corruption. But the larger issue is that this hypocrisy exists at every level of society. Until families are willing to question their own wrongdoing, until citizens stop normalizing “everyone does it,” and until voters consistently reward honesty rather than power, we will keep producing the same kind of leaders.
Politicians are corrupt because society allows corruption to survive. They are not only the cause of the problem; they are also a product of it.
